Moves between now and next season.

I think melo stays. In his situation it will be tough to turn that fat contract down.

I think the Knicks get Pau also.

I'm not sure what they'll do with amare, maybe a trade as his expiring contract will be extremely valuable.

Gonna be interesting.

100% chance Mike woodson is gone. No point having him hang around.

I think Phil would like to get Brian Shaw to coach somehow.

If the rumors are true and the rockets can fit him in he will leave. Why wouldn't you leave and play for the Rockets who have more chance of winning a title than the Knicks.

The Knicks issue is they have a guy they cant move called Amare Stoudamire.

Stoudemire has put in some solid efforts lately, he could contribute on a playoff team but he is highly overpaid right now. I reckon you will see some major shake ups going on with the roster and coaching staff, he will surround himself with familiar faces.

Because you would need to live in Houston..... that's why! :cautious:

I never liked Melo - so I hope they trade. I do hope they get a real franchise player for him. I am interested to see LBJ in a Knicks uniform though. ;)

I think Melo will stay. Ditto with J.R and Felton. Jackson is the kind of person who can really get J.R smith into shape and Felton fits into the kind of teams Jackson has had in the past - a pass first point guard. I can definitely see Metta going. ditto for Amare - both will go in order for New York to get a lottery pick in the draft.

I think the Knicks continue to stink it up so badly that he is forced to take over the coaching himself.

They've had a horrible year no doubt, but they lost a couple of key guys that hurt them (Kidd was big for them), along with some terrible injuries this season, mixed with JR Smith doing the typical "I just got paid" thing and taking it easy.

I don't think Phil will coach. He'll find somebody that will be an extension of himself somewhat, I think.

That would be an interesting move, I just can't see it happening. Harden is their go to guy, Parsons is playing his role perfectly. The Knicks only need a few moves and they'll be back amongst it in the weak *ss East.

IMO if Lebron really wants to become the GOAT, he needs to do something that hasn't been done before. I think winning a ring with the Knicks or a Cavs (won't happen though) would put him on that level.

Gonna be very interesting to see what they get for Amare. They may amnesty and start right away or trade him for a piece or two to a team that wants to free up the books.

Well IMO, to be the GOAT he needs to prove he can win a championship whenever he wants to. MJ proved that will the 2x 3 peat. Kobe fell short he is good but there can be only one! :)

Did you just reword pretty much what I was saying:lol:

If Lebron wants to chase down the Great one, he def needs to do something bigger than running off to the Heat with an established HOFer already there.

Maybe the Knicks will be that challenge (I doubt he'll go though).

LOL, well yea. I was more specific + I name dropped Kobe. LOL.
When MJ was actively playing under Phil, I was wondering if it was MJ driving the wins or was it Phil. But when the Lakers lost the last few years, it just sealed who the real winner is for me. =)

Running off from a dying Miami team and going to the Knicks to build another super team is some how putting LeBron above the G.O.A.T?

I would think not....Putting the word Challenge and LeBron in the same sentence is flat out hypocrisy!

He can't run EVERY time a team starts to break down(in this case from old legs LOL) to start a new super team and get rings the easy-ier way!

The greats are allowed to do that in their final few years because they don't really count and only people outside the game know the difference between a Championship in conjunction with HOF'ers to one build from ground up, ESPN doesn't know the difference!..lol

I would love to see LeBron stay or go to a team that has to build around him, not a team with 2-3 HOF'ers or future HOFer's!

Maybe jump off the MJ high horse bud.

To say the Heat are running on old legs is a joke. D. Wade could probably play every game if he had to, he's not that old, they're just trying to do what only a handful of teams have done and that's 3 peat.

I love MJ too and Lebron is not my favourite player.

But how is him going to the Knicks creating a "super" team.

If he went to the Knicks or another team, they would be building around him.

So if Bosh leaves (which I think he will) and D. Wade is still batlling next year, Lebron leads them to the rings again, is that your idea of a challenge?

You should try a less one sided opinion. Because as much as I'm not really a fan of Lebron, he's coming for Jordan.

I think he gets AT LEAST 6 rings. Possibly more. And rings is what a lot of Jordan fans have been going off for years.

LeBron will go to what ever team is the best or easiest way to a Championship, if that means he stays in Miami and demands MORE help or goes to the Knicks and takes a pay cut for a super team to be built around him he'll do it!

Do you see LeBron EVER going to a bad team to rebuild and start again? I don't think he would ever do that and he will want a supporting cast on the cards or in place before he goes anywhere...

I just don't like the thought of LeBron playing for the Knicks after what Melo has done and stayed on a crap team and now Phil's there the team will turn it all around and LeBron would get all the credit! And i hate Melo!

Miami Heat will not make the Finals this year if it all falls on LeBron and he doesn't have a somewhat healthy Wade.

Wade is the key and if he can't get those big games he seemed to pull out of nowhere last year, then I don't see LeBron doing it this year and if he does I will never discredit him again! NEVER!

Unless he falls over and gets saved by Jesus,Bosh,Wade or even Chalmers hits big shots too..lol

Just like last year, the absolute pot luck for Miami to win some of those games was amazing to say the least...

I don't think LeBron's anywhere near MJ, so he can have 12 rings if it helps, it matters to some people how they get them!

I have a too high standard, I know, so what ever he does I'm sure i'll find a way to view it as less then perfect...

I guess I put too much love/hate on players in the NBA, it's probably because I always loved the game, the hobby investment BS doesn't have anything to do with how I feel about a players!
I hate when people say that!

Sorry about the rant, I'm so use to going in F.U mode with murrke on the other forum, I didn't even look at what I typed...lol

Wasn't my intension to start that here, I guess I miss murrke...lmao
