Official NBL 2013/14 Season Thread

Speaking of good pictures, here's one that is pretty clear cut.....

If someone was really upset about Hire shooting the 3 in the final seconds, that seems a bit like sour grapes.
As a Wildcats fan, I was happy to actually see him shoot the ball and it didn't appear that Adelaide gave up the open shot until the very end.
If that shot in particular was poor form, then so was the weak foul that put Cadee on the free throw line with less than 30 seconds left to go.... did anyone from the Wildcats attack the Referee's ? The answer is No.

The whole incident was pretty poor form from both teams but Joey going back for more after it had settled down was not something you would expect a coach to do and should definitely be worthy of a suspension !

On a positive note, it seemed to fire up Adelaide who easily beat Melbourne today. Should make for a ripper final series and the Perth / Adelaide NBL rivalry is still alive

The NBL has completed its investigation Friday night’s on-court altercation between players and coaching staff from the Perth Wildcats and Adelaide 36ers.

Two charges have subsequently been issued and referred to an independent judiciary.

Adelaide coach Joey Wright has been charged with allegedly striking Perth Assistant Coach Adam Tatalovich.

Perth forward James Ennis has been charged with the alleged attempted striking of Adelaide’s Mitch Creek.

The charges are expected to be heard later this week.

The Perth and Adelaide clubs have also been charged with a Code of Conduct breach for their role in the melee. The NBL is yet to finalise possible penalties and/or sanctions.

The NBL have laid further charges on the Perth Wildcats following an altercation at the conclusion of Friday night’s win over the Adelaide 36ers.

The NBL released the following on Wednesday afternoon:

The NBL has issued two new charges stemming from the post-match altercation between the Perth Wildcats and Adelaide 36ers game on Friday night.

Perth Wildcats Assistant Coach Adam Tatalovich has been charged with:

- Bringing the Game Into Disrepute
- Misconduct

These charges relate to alleged physical contact and abusive language directed at Adelaide Coach Joey Wright.

They follow an official complaint lodged with the NBL by the Adelaide 36ers. Additional evidence has emerged to support the charges.

Both charges will be heard later this week. A date and time is yet to be set.
The striking charge against Joey Wright will be heard on Friday afternoon.

What a load of bullsh!t !!!

How about them Hawks hey? Beat NZ by 20 with no Tiggs?? unbelievable.

Sydney has 2 games in hand and currently 3rd and have Jesse Sanders returning but I think if they lost 2 games and Hawks won 2, Tigers would go to 3rd, Hawks 4th and Sydney 5th. So much in the balance here finishing off the season!

I made it out to "The Swamp" last night for a cracking game.
I thought Sydney were gonna come back and get it, but Towny was very impressive.

Conklin is a beast.

Sam Young was great on Offense (incredible actually) but way too lazy on Defense. The highlight being him throwing down a MASSIVE oop towards the end of the game.

The NBL has finalised its investigation into the on-court altercation involving the Perth Wildcats and Adelaide 36ers on February 14, 2014.

At a hearing this afternoon, an independent NBL judiciary found Adelaide Coach Joey Wright not guilty on the charge of Striking.

Perth Wildcats Assistant Coach Adam Tatalovich was found not guilty on the charges of Striking and the Use of Offensive Language.

Both clubs have been handed a $5,000 fine for a Code of Conduct breach. The sanction has been suspended for 12 months.

So it took the NBL 10 days to sort this out and then they basically did nothing!

thanks Hawks!
Yep, they are helping the Wildcats lock up top spot, but they are also landing themselves in 4th spot and that is a worry for the Wildcats.

Rotnei Clarke is a player I would pay good money to watch and I have always been a fan of Rhys Martin.
