$500 reward to find a Scumbag!!!

Wow - I hate reading about stories like this, but be glad that communities like OCT exist where such behaviour isn't tolerated in the slightest.
Now that everyone has a picture and serial # in mind (and a $500 pay day!) I think there are a team of bounty hunters and vigilantes hoping to serve up some justice! If there's a venue that buys or sells cardboard in any back alley, online forum or marketplace between us we have it covered... Have you posted similar on HobbyKings, BO etc?
I do know that Aus Post routinely stuffs things up though - many of packages take ages to arrive despite living in a capital city and recently have had two big hassles with some packages that disappeared into the ether only to have them turn up months later.....

Thanks, it's been covered on all other forums. I did receive all my other cards from that break except the most valuable (by far!!)
I'm really looking forward to sending someone $500.00 because that will mean that the dirty scumbag that has stolen my card is finally exposed!!
Just a little message to the piece of shit (and I know you're probably reading all this), bad things will happen to you because I strongly believe in Karma. So every time something goes wrong in your pitiful life think of that card!!!

I think Cherry has admitted they made a mistake and have fixed the problem so it won't happen again. They have also compensated you, so there's no point flogging a dead horse. They have been honest and honourable. Let's concentrate on who this scumbag amongst us is and drawing them out!
I believe that it will be near impossible to find out who this thieving scumbag is because he is dumb but not dumb enough to let the card resurface in the near future. He's probably got it tucked away somewhere safe……..but it might one day show up……and I'll be there waiting. Collecting isn't about money but it does hurt even more when you see the card has doubled, nearly tripled (compared to the compensated amount) and still climbing in price.
I really hope that someone does claim the $500 reward on offer and the thief is outed.

The card a month ago was selling for 500 - 600, and of recent the only high priced one was a BGS 9.5. So I wouldn't read too much into the sale prices to be completely honest. As you know and said yourself, immac prices are tumbling. Let the thief hold onto a card that may be worth 1/10 of what it is now when they decide to let it surface. I am positive, and would bet a large amount on it, that cherry compensated you well more than the 500 the card was retailing for, and that's just because I know the two of them, I hold them in the highest integrity. Like you said, I don't think the thief would be dumb enough to let the card go now, especially after this thread lol, they might fear for their lives haha. You did well providing all the info you could on it, especially the numbering - I missed the video and couldn't see it on the pic. Karma always gets liars and what is owed to them, stress less my friend, life is short and justice will prevail

I think the flogging the dead horse thing is true. I think the point has been made but I don't think creating a record for the use of the word scumbag will change the fact that the card is probably not going to surface.
The card a month ago was selling for maximum $600 - how much compensation did you receive from Cherry for this card Ang ? You're pretty quick to bag Cherry but I have seen nothing about how much he compensated you for the card, and the fact that you received OVER market value for it.
Get on with finding your card and keep your personal grudge with Cherry out of it. I'm getting sick of reading you taking potshots at Cherry and OZGB at every opportunity. It's getting old VERY quickly.

I respect that you're the site Administrator but I don't appreciate your words. My dealings with Cherry are personal, and don't mean to offend, but are none of yours or anyone else's business. I would gladly give back the compensated money in return for my card in an instant. I take offence to the concept that I received "OVER market value", obviously you fail to see nor understand the true value of the card from a monetary but more importantly from a personal level. 129 posts to the thread and only 2 mentions by me regarding Cherry's mistake ( which has been acknowledged by Cherry), not one mention of OZGB throughout the entire thread….so what are you getting sick and tired of reading Graham? I suggest you read my personal PM to you and address the points mentioned rather than taking a "potshot" at me. Your comments are harsh, unsympathetic, offensive, non factual and uncalled for, and believe you are able to get away with saying such things because you're the site Admin without a response!
