COMC Mailbox Thread

Just got my first comc delivery - very nifty process!
What happens now??? (Stupid question) says that it is processing, I guess once it is processed I request it to be sent?

Processing means they are putting those cards into envelopes and throwing them inside a shipping container. If you choose the slowest surface, I think it waits until the container is full, or a week or 2. Then it goes into transit.

Or do you mean submission into your mailbox? if that's the case, they are scanning your cards, then you will see them in your inventory.

It will be processed after they have emailed you with the pic. With the new process it will be in your 'inventory' after 1-3 days and money will come out of your COMC account to cover it ($1 for the new process). It's best to grab about a months worth of cards to add to your inventory and ship them all as a lot to combine shipping costs from COMC > Australia.

Hey @Moe@COMC how does it work when you buy a card that says "being redeemed" on it. or "redeemed X/X/13" etc

The card gets sent to you (COMC) from Panini, then added to our inventory list?

I have had about 15 redemptions in my account all purchased through eBay.

I believe now you have the option to redeem it, or get it posted to you, but you need to inform them which way you want to go when you get the email showing the cards.

Now for buying a "being redeemed" card my understanding is that if these cards have a price it means the seller wants to sell it.
So instead of it being redeemed into their account it will be transferred to your account.
I assume you won't be able to have the redemption posted to you direct from Panini as the redemption process has already started.

Hope that helps.

Hi, I thought I had replied to these questions, but apparently I didn't...my bad.

As has been noted, if you buy a card that's in the process of being redeemed, you will have the option to flip it or you can mark it not for sale and keep it in your portfolio - but, you can't have it shipped out until the redemption card arrives from the manufacturer.

And, if you want a card redeemed, you can send it in to us - and when it gets deposited to your portfolio, you can submit it for redemption, via the Inventory Manager.

I hope this helps, and sorry for forgetting how to properly reply on a message forum...oops.

I just noticed the service seemed to change a bit for me now (as per the original notification of changes taking place in February)

Thank you for using our beta Mailbox Service!

The COMC Mailbox Service was developed organically in cooperation with COMC users. We are thrilled it has proved quite popular, especially with our international customers. After reviewing our trial period data, we will be updating this service.

Starting February 1st, all Mailbox submissions will be processed as follows:

Mailbox Service:

Cards only (No comics, publications, photos, or other memorabilia)
Price: $1 per item
Cards can be any size, including graded/encased
No minimum number of items
Processing Time: 1-3 days
How it works:

When we receive your mailbox package, you will receive an email notification, and we will process your items immediately. Your items will be in your account 1-3 days later, and you will be billed when your items are uploaded to your COMC account.

What if there are issues?

If we detect issues with your items (i.e. authenticity concerns), we will contact you before uploading them to your account. You may still be responsible for processing fees.
If you are unhappy with your items and wish to send them back to the original owner, you will be responsible for the shipping costs.
Bonus Cards:

Some sellers include "bonus" cards with their packages. All items sent to your COMC Mailbox will be processed at $1/card. If you notice cards you don't want were uploaded with your Mailbox purchase, you can receive a refund for the processing charge of any unwanted card by selecting the 'Donate to Charity' option on the Actions dropdown for that card. The Actions dropdown is accessible through the Inventory Manager section of your Dashboard.

Thanks for making our new COMC Mailbox such a success! If you have any additional questions or concerns, please email us at Staff@COMC.com. We want to hear from you.

Be sure to keep up with all the COMC news and announcements by following us on our Blog, as well as our International Facebook and International Twitter pages!

Thanks!

Moe @ COMC

I got a couple of items which had the email title
Mailbox Submission Received (which is has been for ages) and it states how cards will be process by the month.

eg

We received your package with tracking number '---------------------------'. This package had 1 items and was assigned to mailbox #----------. See the attached image for a picture of what we received. This mailbox now has a total of # items. The items are scheduled to be added to your 'fastnbulbous' account on February 17. We will start processing your mailbox on February 10. Until then, you can continue to add more items to this mailbox.

If you would like us to start processing the items in your mailbox now, simply reply to this email, and specify if you would like One Week or One Day processing.

Please note there is a $5 minimum processing fee when processing the items in your mailbox.

If you have any questions, we would be more than happy to help.

Then i got a new type of message just a few hours later which seems to be the newer system and it talks about batches and has early time frames for processing

email title: Mailbox Submission Arrived

We received your mailbox submission with tracking number '---------'. This batch has 8 item(s) and was given Batch #--. The items are being processed by our Mailbox - One Week service, and we plan to have them added to your 'fastnbulbous' account by February 4.

And, if you want a card redeemed, you can send it in to us - and when it gets deposited to your portfolio, you can submit it for redemption, via the Inventory Manager.

I can't see an option in Inventory Manager to redeem a card? (pic attached)

Bother...I'm sorry, they told me it was going to be handled via the Inventory Manager. Let me find out what's going on there, and I'll get back to you, as soon as I get an answer.

Hi, yes, we've modified the mailbox service - we process everything as it's received, and your mailbox cards are deposited within 1-3 days of their arrival. This saves you the trouble of having to reply to the mailbox emails you receive from us.

If you check our Blog, you'll see all the details about the new mailbox. And, as always, hit me up if you have any questions.

Hey Moe, just a quick question. I've just put a shipment request in for 21 cards to be sent over to me "express", am I safe to assume that this also has insurance on them, most of the cards are either mid-high end or very very hard to find.

We have insurance on all our packages/shipments - so, your assumption is correct. :-)

moe you have insurance on express but I had cards worth over $10000 paid $200 For express it only covered me for $100 if they lost my item

Not much protection there would only cover 1/2 my postage costs:crazy:

Just had an email update.... tracking says it was delivered in 2012 ????:confused::confused:

Your order #4000301 has been shipped. The package has a delivery confirmation label attached to it. It may take a day or so before the website will have any status updates.

Hi Moe, just wondering if you found how we go about redeeming redemptions. Can I just send an email requesting the cards in question to be redeemed?

Thanks.

Ok, I found out how to make this happen; you have to submit the redemption card for grading, then request a COMC condition review. This alerts the redemption team, and they start the process for you.

It's a little murky, but that's how it's going to be run for the time being...
