COMC Mailbox Thread

Yep, check out the 2nd page of this thread for examples of how you need to have your stuff addressed to be sent to your COMC account properly.

and one BIG TIP: When you check out in feebay or even if in private sales, remember to tell the seller; DO NOT SEND FREE/GIFT CARDS!!!

Otherwise someone's generosity of 15 free base cards will end up costing you $$$ to be processed.

Yep so create an account with COMC. Then use the comc postal address with "C/O ozballer23" (eg only)
Once COMC recieves mail addressed to you, they open it, photograph it and send it to you for confirmation.
With the new changes you let them know when you want them processed, and it is added to your account for $1 each (no minimum cost so you can do this as they roll in really)
Once processed they are added to your COMC inventory where you can choose to list it on their site for resale or ship it home to yourself instead.

Pretty easy!

Awesome.

So do the pics go to your email
&
Do you need to have to change your ebay address to the comc one?
&
Do you need store credit for fees etc?

Yep - photos to your email. Ebay address to COMC when your bidding or hitting BIN so that it calculates the postage correctly.
They'll charge your account and you'll just be in the negative if you dont have credit, and you'll need to pop some into your account in order to send it home :)

You been a huge help, one very least question, to purchase on the site, do you use store credit?

Yes, you use store credit.
And to make offers on other cards on the site, you need to have sufficient credit and once the offer is made, that ammount is held until the offer is either accepted, declined or countered.

I think you and I could almost get spokesperson status for COMC by now!

Haha, true. I really like the service and without it, wouldn't have half the cards that I do now. Even with the price rise, I'm of the opinion that the service was probably too cheap to being with. $0.50 to have them open, photograph and email you confirmation of delivery is bargain basement prices.. $1.. meh, still a good price to have the ability to buy cards from US sellers that decline international posage.

I will continue to use COMC till the day they say we can't use it as a drop-box and mailing service. (though I do have 100+ cards for sale on there)

Also great site for set-chasing!

Hey moe can you please explain why one touches are removed from our cards when you send them too us when they come in with them on?

Also is it true that Beckett are going to stop it's affiliation with Comc in the coming months?

Hey guys, so purchased my first card on ebay and getting it sent to comc, so what happens now?

How much does it cost to get the card shipped to Oz? Is it better to wait for a larger amount? How long can they hold it for?

@M4YH3M1 @nichj99

Thanks guys

Postage to COMC takes approx 3-5 days once the seller sends it out. Within 48 hours of it arriving you'll get your photo. After Jan 20th processing will be $1 per card with 3 days to add it into your inventory. Before the 20th the rate is $0.50 each with a $5 minimum.

They can hold it Indefinatley. Most people wait till there's multiple cards to send home at once. Add $3.00 + $0.25 for each mailbox item (no extra cost for stuff purchased on their site) to post home for the slowest method. Given that your Melbourne like me, postage time on slow takes approx 7-15 working days, normally around 9-11 however.

When it arrives, you get an email showing the packet and what was in it. The email will ask you what type of processing you would like.. Now depending on whether or not it hits the mailbox by the 20th Jan, the email might change.

Either way, you don't have to do anything until the card/email arrives.

Its really up to you whether you want to wait or ship it straight away. an here-in lies the trap.. hahah

I always say to myself, after this next card arrives.. then I'll get it shipped.. then I'll buy something else awesome on feebay and then tell myself I'll wait a bit longer till I receive that one and it gets processed.. and on and on and so forth..
I have usually just been getting one shipment a month.

Thanks guys. So what does the postage cost on top of the processing fees?

Minimum is $3.00 then its +0.25c for cards sent in penny sleeves (toploader is 0.20 extra)
You have the option to send with or without penny sleeves. ****EDIT: top-loaders.
It costs $1 (I think) to send things in one-touches or hard-cases.

There are multiple choices for shipping depending on how fast you want it. I'm not sure if this is going to change with the new price change effective on the 20th Jan.

Thanks. Sounds like it's worth waiting on a few cards before going through the whole mailing process.

Anyone know if they allow you to opt for an oversized card charge, for a removable card in a one touch magnetic case?

I should be getting a few of these and would prefer to keep the cases as they are, not replace them with a top loader, and just pay the oversized fee instead.

Just wondering why my items have already been allocated for 1 week processing? I was under the impression the $1 per card processing fee was to take into effect February 1st? It is only the 18th in Australia and 17th in the U.S!

I thought is started on the 20th Jan.

@Moe@COMC Question.. I just had cards processed into my inventory under the new 3 day processing. I can list them for sale, but why can't I make them ready for shipment?
