Official 2013-14 NBA Regular Season Thread - SPOILERS!

I hear ya, but once you pull card money out and put it somewhere else, it seems like maybe it's flat out crazy to add your money up in the sense like, what could I by for my PC with this, instead of, I might buy something in the real world...lol

The league pass is the best money you can spend...

Hell i'll even spot you money if you like...
lol between car payments/investments (that didn't go to plan) and trying to live there's only so much "Fun" money to spend ;)

Quite a stretch to say "in history" lol
statistically speaking, of course. I'm sure there would have been individual performances that were more dominant. One springs to mind by Lebron in the early days where he scored something ridiculous like 29 of the last 30 points of the game to beat the Pistons.

But yeah.. I dont think it would be easily possible to top 50, 20 and 10 3's in a game as far as the box score goes...

Have a look right back! Some of the scores posted by guys like Oscar Robertson and Jerry West who did their thing without a 3 point line!

Or there is Kobe's 81, Wilt's 100, D Robs 71(at over 60%) etc

Great game by Love, but he needs more help than just Martin on the Scoreboard!

but those games are all just scoring... add 20 boards to it.. not easy to do, with 10 3's! I cant think of many players in history even capable of 20 boards and 10 3's in one game, let alone 50 pts. All this is meaningless since he ended up with 42, 14 and 8, but still...

Wilt still had 25 rebounds, plus he didn't need OT to get to 100!

Oscar Robertson and Jerry West did their thing without a 3pt line and sometimes had as many assists as Love had rebounds.

You have to take the context of the game too IMO. Kobe's 81 was a come from behind win, and D Rob was needing 33 points to win the scoring title and he had 71

I would be interested to see how many rebounds Love would average if Pekovic wasn't playing with him? Just from watching a few wolves games I think Pek's boxing out helps Love big time!

just read this

Few bigger teams could be more ready to make a move than the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks. The Lakers just brought Kobe Bryant back into the fold, but with the Western Conference loaded with playoff hopefuls, and a number of injuries to the backcourt, a deal might be imminent for L.A.

According to a report from ESPN, Steve Blake’s injury already adds to L.A.’s backcourt woes of the hurt Steve Nash and Jordan Farmar, so the Lakers are reportedly interested in the very available Knicks guard Iman Shumpert.

One of the Lakers expiring contracts also includes forward Pau Gasol, and they are apparently mulling a move that would send the Spaniard to the Knicks for injured center Tyson Chandler, a California native who attended Dominguez High School in Compton. However, the struggling Knicks apparently aren’t interested in moving their most prize big man.

If the Lakers are looking for more size, and they aren’t too bitter with the Houston Rockets for stealing away Dwight Howard, maybe they can land disgruntled center Omer Asik.

How does Shumpert help their ball handler shortage?? That makes no sense, even if they were to package Prigioni or Felton in it. But NY can't put themselves in the same position!

They should to go for Rondo

Both the Lakers and Knicks need to make moves, but they shouldn't be looking at each other! They need to look at teams that are playing well!

i think its really just to move Gasol and Iman would help on D. I think once Farmar and Blake are healthy the Lakers should move Nash on. They wont get much for him but its a waste of a roster spot i reckon. I like the idea of Blake and Farmar learning from him but thats about it. Agreed with Rondo LA should package Gasol, Nash and Kelly for Rondo ;)

Omer Asik is going to be traded this week, and Philadelphia, Atlanta, Charlotte, Boston and Cleveland are the five teams most squarely in the mix, a league executive with intimate knowledge of the trade talks told SheridanHoops.com on Monday. A number of three-team deals are being discussed, with Houston general manager Daryl Morey seeking to land a backup center along with a 2014 first-round draft pick — unless he can land a bonafide stud. HoopsHype.com was the first to report over the weekend that Bulls officials arranged a Saturday sit-down with Real Madrid forward Nikola Mirotic. Sources close to the situation later told ESPN.com that the Bulls are indeed doing everything they can on the buyout front to be able to bring Mirotic to the NBA next season after taking him in the first round of the 2011 draft. Then on Monday, Chicago unexpectedly released veteran point guard Mike James, who made the Bulls' roster out of training camp to provide coach Tom Thibodeau with an experienced hand whenever needed for spot duty behind Rose. But with Rose sidelined again and Chicago's short- and long-term aspirations in flux as a result, management has abruptly decided to release the 38-year-old to ensure that unproven youngsters Marquis Teague and newly acquired D.J. Augustin get as many minutes as possible. ESPN.com - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.CxJ6W37l.dpuf

Nets lead out to 25 starting 4th qtr. Joe Johnson 10/14 3's. No Brook Lopez. This is the Nets team some people were worried about pre season. KG playing efficient bball. Even if it is only the 76ers. Come playoff time. Ohhwee. excited again

76ers rookie Nerlens Noel said “there’s a possibility” he could play this season. In an interview Monday for the NBA channel on SiriusXM Radio, Noel said no decision has been made regarding his availability this season. Noel has been viewed as a longshot to play while rehabbing the torn ACL in his left knee that he incurred in February 2013 as a freshman at Kentucky. Sixers coach Brett Brown has said that he looks at this season as an opportunity to reconstruct the mechanics on Noel’s shot.
