COMC Mailbox Thread

Email COMC and they will donate the unwanted cards to charity

Not they wont anymore.

I got donated 16 cards and I was told by Norbert that after they are processed, to notify COMC staff and they will buy them back for 50c each. Which in theory is good, but when you need your mailbox processed within 1 day at $2 per card, not so good.

Also I had the COMC staff stuff up my mailbox processing.

I had 29 cards in there on the last day for my mailbox processing, I replied the email asking for 1 day processing.

But instead, they processed the 6 that arrived the next day, which aren't worth jack for $2 each!!!

And the other 29 which I am wanting fast so I can get them sent before the 24th trade day (the email I replied too).. well they are still on the one week processing and due to be added to the mailbox on the 12th.. hence most likely NOT to arrive before the trade day.

On a positive note, I received my first batch of cards and they were perfect... not a problem at all, well packaged.

I'm pretty frustrated with them at this point. I have 36 cards waiting for them to confirm the delivery, some of them are showing as delivered on USPS.com as early as last Thursday U.S time!

My mailbox is due to be opened tomorrow and chances are it will not make the deadline, purely because they don't consider this service a priority.

At this stage I'm going to try and cut back a lot on using this service, they don't want to alter it to make it more efficient for collectors, because they want us to pay the various processing fess, fair enough, a business's goal is to make revenue. But at least set some kind of standard if you expect people to pay all the unnecessary fees. Generally it takes 24 -48hrs to confirm the delivery of a card and that is great, but I've had to wait up to a week in some instances.

At the moment there isn't much of a standard, it's basically we will open the packages and confirm with you on our own schedule, but you still have to re-purchase top loaders that were already there, extra fees for graded cards and cards in one touch holders, just because apparently it is more difficult to process these, and you must pay for the cards to be submitted onto the website even if you have no intentions of selling, and you have to pay a fee in order to donate your cards.

I usually email for them to be removed from my mailbox as soon as I see them in the photo notifications. Which goes into their charity account anyways. Apparently, this will now cost money as well.

I was initially doing this too, but as per my previous post, Norbert @ COMC said that they can't remove it from the mailbox anymore, instead he told me to notify them in email of which cards from my inventory are to be donated and he said they will refund the 0.50c processing fee for them and remove them from the account.

As with my previous post of the 16 rubbish cards that were sent with one package, they never appeared in my inventory and I cannot find any charge for their processing.

Yeah this has been the case for me as well until last weekend when I made a request. The response I got was it increases the work load for their processing team and it costs 25 cents for each card to be removed.

Perhaps I interpreted it wrong, and it meant it would cost them 25 cents to buy them back from me. Which in itself makes little sense because the card is being purchased at 50 cents, 25 cents of which goes to them anyways.

Also, I actually would lose money since it costs 50 cents to process the card for submission, they would need to buy the card back at 75 cents.

Yes we are only talking cents here but it adds up when your dealing in bulk.

I agree with you Mike... I wanted to get mine processed in one day... imagine me having to pay $32 for 16 sh*thouse old hoops cards to be processed!!!

One thing I always remember now, is with all my paypal payments being sent to COMC... I put in caps three times in the message to the seller when paying.

DO NOT SEND GIFTED CARDS
DO NOT SEND GIFTED CARDS
DO NOT SEND GIFTED CARDS

Hopefully, more often than not, the seller will acknowledge this and only send my purchases. :)

Im really worried about all the stuff im reading here. I decided to give this COMC mailbox a try and already have a few cards incomming to them.
Received one notification with one card and 6 added base cards, some even badly damaged because they were taped to the outside of the toploader as extra protection!!
They still added them to my mailbox even though you can clearly see some of them have torn of pictures.
I already asked for them to be removed but have gotten no reaction so far.
If im going to have to pay all these processing and shipping fees for these cards it would defy all purpose of having this comc mailbox.

It also a bloody crime that they take out the cards from perfectly good toploaders and then charge me for new ones!?! Wish i knew that beforehand!
I wonder how they would ship these cards if i dont select toploaders as an added service, will they just throw them in a plain white envelope and be done with it?
And the fact that im reading that several members have received damaged cards makes me even more anxious.

Im hoping for the best!
Guess i will have to start putting in M4YH3M1 3 times caps message with my paypal payments.

To be honest I have had no problems with the arrival and processing of the cards system. Every minor issue I have had has been resolved for me within a day or two no dramas just by a simple email. When I do select shipping it will be express so HOPEFULLY there will be no issues there but only time will tell!

Anything that comes to them in a top loader WILL leave them in a toploader via the mailbox service. If it's listed and sold then it won't. As far as I'm aware this has never changed and I've now emptied my mailbox 4 times.

I'm not complaining, but that hasnt been the case for me.

More expensive cards will have a free toploader included, but most others you have to pay the 25c for a toploader. Though the ones that dont are packed well into a strong cardboard box and arrived in perfect condition

My last order has a slight hiccup. I paid for top loaders for every card but only two cards came in one. I email them and they refunded me they money.

Still a little annoying as i will now need to find top loaders/one touches for them but i will continue to use the service.

They have started to clear my mailbox and one of the cards im going to submit to Beckett to get graded so i will let you know how it goes.

I had 80 lower end cards in my mail box lol busy month.
Everything they sent pics confirming are in top loaders.
I find it stupid that to have them shipped we have to pay 25c per top loader when there already in toploaders from the sellers.
What the hell am I paying for there?
So on top of all the fees they keep all your toploaders and chafe u additional 25c per one lol.

I've never selected the add $0.25 toploader and if it arrived to them in one it leaves in one. That's just my experience. If I pick it off their shelf, then I need to use that option, yes.
