Sitting at home chilling on Labour Day and decided to actually do something productive by backscanning a pile of cards which I've grouped together as "retired".
Nothing earth shatteringly high end but some decent names and players mainly from the 90s which is always a nice walk down memory lane....
Pooh Richardson - one of top young players for the fledging T-Wolves back in the day before levelling off with the Pacers and Clips. Never seen any of his autos before and as a long suffering Clips fan back in the day it was nice to land one albeit in UCLA uniform.
<<insert pooh joke here>> ;-)

Wally Szczerbiak - another guy who shone on the young T-Wolves squads, one of the more adept long range bombers of his era.. Was actually an all-star in 2002!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0001_zps29e40715.jpg&hash=cd08c1a5240a1f20a552e6d577104afb)
Kendall Gill - A bright light on the young Hornets before falling into mediocrity with the Sonics and Nets, then benchwarming duties with the Heat, Wolves, Bulls and finally towel waving responsibilities in his last year as a Buck. Led the NBA in steals in 98-99 and at one point was a pro boxer which is apt considering he likes to throw his fists around... Love the big auto and embossing - soooooo 1990s!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0003_zpsc68286ad.jpg&hash=be71b6cadec6b8e819e5464ad54d238f)
Eddie Jones - One of my favourite players throughout the 90s because he could do a bit fo everything shoot, drive, score, handle the ball, create plays, contribute on the boards and could defend - master thief! One of the most under-rated players imo who always played second fiddle and never had that monster ego thing going on....
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0002_zps49ba449f.jpg&hash=470fc0ddb4ae3d48824bda6c87ad4211)
The Elusive Ink Crew - lots of first time signers in this lot and plenty from the 90s!
Reggie Theus - The Bulls SG before MJ came along. Ironically, he was also a big scorer who racked up points at an impressive clip and could also run the point. Averaged just under 20ppg for his career at 47% even though he struggled with his outside shot. Bit of an injustice that not many people even know who this bloke is!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0004_zps17b15b0c.jpg&hash=a1e20a7a41fc63e0484ca36a64df1f37)
Bo Outlaw - My favourite basketball personality is Bill Fitch - basketball genius and always with an entertainingly witty story or quote. Anyway, Bo Outlaw is a Bill Fitch find and he was a defensive beast! 6-8 with long arms and decent speed he could cover swimgmen and spent a lot of time playing as a very undersized Centre too. Clippers cult hero back in the day!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0005_zpse6c6ca30.jpg&hash=8758bcdc15da577f4f058bad8f0a8aba)
Bryant 'Big Country' Reeves - Speaking of cult heroes this guy has one of the best nicknames going around and I'd very much want to land an inscription! Slow and definitely not athletic he somehow found a way to score in the NBA. Got his nickname on his first ever flight when he was a freshman in college after growing up in a small farming town in Oklahoma. Upon looking out the plane's window he said to his teammate Byron Houston, "My goodness, it certainly is a big country". The rest, as they say, is history.....
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0006_zps39e85848.jpg&hash=160869444b9c2cdddfaeb1ec807e860d)
Rex Chapman - Never thought much of Rex Chapman, wasn't good defensively and never seemed to meet a shot he didn't want to take... BUT, he did hit that shot in the 97 playoffs which I remember watching on TV at the time. Just google Rex Chapamn - The Shot! Yes, that;s why I got this card and yes, for that reason it's great that it;s in Suns uni.
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0007_zps6dba1a7a.jpg&hash=8b241b7b0bacc015cc1cc15b362bc7e4)
Kenny Anderson - So much talent! Lightning quick but always had troubles with his shot. Formed that Dynamic duo with Coleman back on the Nets with my man Fitch in charge, but alas too many superegos... Fitch wanted to play Blaylock instead and that basically sealed coach Fitch's fate! Seems to be signing a lot lately!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0008_zps66facd16.jpg&hash=c12daab75f14a2c475f0166a45a49aa0)
Tom Chambers - Bit before my time but this guy was a high scoring, high flying, point producing, rim rattling machine! Which is kinda funny because when you look at him he reminds you of Steve Kerr's older brother! Google Tom Chambers dunk on Mark Jackson for one of the nastiest 'posterisations' of all time!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0009_zpsa76c1ffd.jpg&hash=cd5043dad39df6e6ea4632e693778130)
Brad Daugherty - Mobile big man before they became trendy. Ran the court, scored in the low post and could also pass out of the pivot. Another under-rated and injury prone guy whose Cavs just couldn't get past those darn pesky Bulls and his former UNC teammate MJ!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0010_zps9fb2fb95.jpg&hash=822ce15ac81af18fcddeca8d98e937d7)
Sam 'The Alien' Cassell - Was the hot young prospect and winning championships with the veteran Rockets then spent time with wannabe contenders like the Wolves, Bucks, Nets and Clips. If you don't know why he's called the alien it'd be worthwhile looking up...
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0011_zpsaabb9e1b.jpg&hash=640cc28ff6d10b87b700333439036f13)
Tom Gugliotta - Goooooooooooooooooooooooogs! One of my favourite guys to follow when he first entered the league - people were touting him up as the next Larry Bird. While he obviously never became the next Larry Bird he could do a bit of everything well and had a couple of breakout years on the Wolves before slowly fading out with the Suns (unfortunate jersey choice on the card).
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0012_zps3b4b4e01.jpg&hash=c7fd81c5e13830d4e2f7a4aadcfa02d7)
Chuck 'The Rifleman' Person - Big time shooter, big time trash talker. Reggie Miller before there was Reggie Miller! Can't imagine those two guys raining 3s on the comp all game long -extreme floor spacing! Unfortunately they only had Smits on the inside.... Great on card autographics but unfortunately in his latter years with the Spurs...
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0013_zps00bf24a2.jpg&hash=d6402b8db9bcc535b434ccb1a3d3c79d)
Nick 'The Quick' Van Exel - Iconic sparkplug who hasn't signed much and had to have one his autos! Check out where he stands for his FTs - even EA sports picked up on it for their NBA Live series way back when... Nick says he did it because that's more 'his range'.
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0015_zps79388960.jpg&hash=182dd25efcbd2ea36fc69cb8ef033df7)
Tim Hardaway Sr! - Broken ankle anyone?
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0014_zps52aa5824.jpg&hash=2008cd68be96c95353cc51b7dc4c5b1a)
Toni Kukoc - The Croatian Sensation, The Waiter.... Most famous for his title winning antics on the Bulls and annoying the crapola out of His Airness and Pippen back in the days of the triangle. My first Kukoc auto so glad to have it...
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0022_zpsa743e60b.jpg&hash=be087b92fd251f5873bd11545d4fc37b)
Artis Gilmore - Very impressive numbers and finally made it into the HOF in 2011. Met the guy in Chicago and is a decent enough bloke. Love these Private Signings - sexy looking cards, can see why they're well sought after...
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0016_zps72bc9ecd.jpg&hash=84caa40bc1ef02157919711176667690)
Mitch 'Rock' Richmond - One of my all time favourites. Unfortunately when I started collecting cards back in the 90s there wasn't a lot of cardboard love for Mitch so ended up collecting Mash instead with all those cool rookie inserts. Put the M in Run TMC and carried the Kings on his back for many years. An absolute superstar and very under-rated. Glad to have landed my first Mitch auto - seems to be signing a bit these days so may pick up a few more. Good looking auto too.
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0017_zps6b04532f.jpg&hash=7ae63da61fa777152e77b9734afc27e9)
Nate 'Tiny' Archibald - This guy seems to follow me around. High scoring guard and playmaker who once led the league in scoring and assists (34ppg and 11.4apg) before settlign down with the Celtics to win a spate of championships. Two massive on card sigs of one of the best autos in the biz. Love the GU floor card from Boston garden too - if anyone has any more of these Boston Floor GU hit me up.
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0018_zps79bc3fae.jpg&hash=4dbf21381dab7b4ee77f797661862962)

Muggsy Bogues - Pint sized champion and an inspiration to many vertically challenged hoopsters... Great looking card which looks even better with him in his Hornets uni.
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0021_zps48f25814.jpg&hash=bac588834108da0b071b7b3f4a8ed2d4)
Fat Lever - in his prime one of the most versatile and complete players in the modern era.
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0023_zps14684aaf.jpg&hash=31929a4d176cffa8db7f8c06d791fd4b)
Bill Walton - Always looks like a goofball to me but just remember this dude has won MVP, Finals MVP, 6th man award and 2 titles amongst other achievements. Oh, and apparently he really likes to eat Olives... Might be Exquisite but it's slightly smudged and these food, date and car inscriptions should have no place being on a basketball card imo!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0024_zps3b2f2ee3.jpg&hash=30f0e3a00e71ff7c06ca572b8460fb01)
Earl 'The Pearl' Monroe - The Golden Pearl! Sounds like a Chinese Restaurant but great player and a great looking card. My first 14kt and I can see why they're so popular!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0027_zps29c07d89.jpg&hash=2cc9bef577cb897f79e7a85ca180aa83)
Leaf Blue Crew /10
Lenny Wilkens - Fantastic coach and a HOF PG to boot. Multiple all-star appearances and claimed an all-star MVP too.
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0025_zpse9b838da.jpg&hash=37efa0e0e8a39ee95df5c9b79d2fe7ec)
Gary Payton - If you don't know who he is you don't belong in this forum! Half mouth, half basketballer... First dibs to Nick if he needs it - although he probably doesn't - he's likely sitting on the other 9 already!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0026_zpsedd2a9ff.jpg&hash=744518f05599993827c4c779b3759fd4)
Tracey McGrady - T-Mac! A stellar career which has come to an inglorious end. Led the league in scoring twice with the Magic but I remember him best teaming with Yao and trying to take them to the promised land. Injuries to both ruined that idea - but when they were both healthy it was a great team to watch...
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0028_zps69982af1.jpg&hash=b49c6dc703060766ce18e2f36e6f1ca9)
Bob McAdoo - My first PMG! ..and it's a blue one, none of this red and green baloney! I know people love the PMG inserts, and it does look nice in hand but I was expecting so much more... I guess in terms of wow factor it was a bit of a Bob McADon't moment...
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0030_zpsde5560d5.jpg&hash=df977159a1901c898ade75b5c3e5da21)
Joe Fulks - 1948 Bowman RC. Well, technically, I guess all Bowman 48s are RCs.... Fulks was the Michael Jordan of basketball back in 1948 apparently. Led the BAA in scoring twice and came runner up in one year when George Mikan decided to take over. One of the five key cards from the 1948 Bowman set I'm glad to have it. Might get around to most of the others one day but the George Mikan RC is probably the holy grail for that set chase!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0029_zps5e27a735.jpg&hash=b3ab8fa05f78f68ffce105a67afc3972)
Scottie Pippen - Well, after all these years I've finally landed my first Scottie Pippen auto! Nothing fancy, base Leaf variety but he is one of the all time greats so had to get one eventually! And on that that cheerful little note we'll wrap up this marathon session...
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0031_zpsf996e24a.jpg&hash=24811738d710c3f8c50540abe8bbc9ac)
All cards up for sale or trade, love getting new stuff in. PM me if anything catches your eye. As always, thanks for looking (and especially thanks for reading if you did), comments always appreciated.
Cheers

Muggsy Bogues - Pint sized champion and an inspiration to many vertically challenged hoopsters... Great looking card which looks even better with him in his Hornets uni.
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0021_zps48f25814.jpg&hash=bac588834108da0b071b7b3f4a8ed2d4)
Fat Lever - in his prime one of the most versatile and complete players in the modern era.
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0023_zps14684aaf.jpg&hash=31929a4d176cffa8db7f8c06d791fd4b)
Bill Walton - Always looks like a goofball to me but just remember this dude has won MVP, Finals MVP, 6th man award and 2 titles amongst other achievements. Oh, and apparently he really likes to eat Olives... Might be Exquisite but it's slightly smudged and these food, date and car inscriptions should have no place being on a basketball card imo!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0024_zps3b2f2ee3.jpg&hash=30f0e3a00e71ff7c06ca572b8460fb01)
Earl 'The Pearl' Monroe - The Golden Pearl! Sounds like a Chinese Restaurant but great player and a great looking card. My first 14kt and I can see why they're so popular!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0027_zps29c07d89.jpg&hash=2cc9bef577cb897f79e7a85ca180aa83)
Leaf Blue Crew /10
Lenny Wilkens - Fantastic coach and a HOF PG to boot. Multiple all-star appearances and claimed an all-star MVP too.
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0025_zpse9b838da.jpg&hash=37efa0e0e8a39ee95df5c9b79d2fe7ec)
Gary Payton - If you don't know who he is you don't belong in this forum! Half mouth, half basketballer... First dibs to Nick if he needs it - although he probably doesn't - he's likely sitting on the other 9 already!
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0026_zpsedd2a9ff.jpg&hash=744518f05599993827c4c779b3759fd4)
Tracey McGrady - T-Mac! A stellar career which has come to an inglorious end. Led the league in scoring twice with the Magic but I remember him best teaming with Yao and trying to take them to the promised land. Injuries to both ruined that idea - but when they were both healthy it was a great team to watch...
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0028_zps69982af1.jpg&hash=b49c6dc703060766ce18e2f36e6f1ca9)
Bob McAdoo - My first PMG! ..and it's a blue one, none of this red and green baloney! I know people love the PMG inserts, and it does look nice in hand but I was expecting so much more... I guess in terms of wow factor it was a bit of a Bob McADon't moment...
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0030_zpsde5560d5.jpg&hash=df977159a1901c898ade75b5c3e5da21)
Joe Fulks - 1948 Bowman RC. Well, technically, I guess all Bowman 48s are RCs.... Fulks was the Michael Jordan of basketball back in 1948 apparently. Led the BAA in scoring twice and came runner up in one year when George Mikan decided to take over. One of the five key cards from the 1948 Bowman set I'm glad to have it. Might get around to most of the others one day but the George Mikan RC is probably the holy grail for that set chase!

Scottie Pippen - Well, after all these years I've finally landed my first Scottie Pippen auto! Nothing fancy, base Leaf variety but he is one of the all time greats so had to get one eventually! And on that that cheerful little note we'll wrap up this marathon session...
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi815.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fzz76%2Fskip2020%2FIMG_0031_zpsf996e24a.jpg&hash=24811738d710c3f8c50540abe8bbc9ac)
