Gasnier is still being included on the Dragons cap for this season, whether he plays or he has retired, the contract must run to the end to be not included in the cap. Tigers are still paying Bryce Gibbs in their 2nd tier cap for 2013, thats why they have gone over their cap.

Ayshford asked for a release...
He isn't costing WT's a cent in '14.
Neither is heighingtons as he wasn't contracted past this year, and wasn't offered one... Thats why he and beau left!!
Fifita and Gibbs are different fish, I think they were both tied up for 3 years - gibbo for sure, fifita coulda been 2... Come to think of it, he may have only been one??
But yeah, sharks will have to start paying thier own from here on in, and if they lower themselves to let fergo return... That money will also have to come from the sharkies tin (or bags or what ever they're using this
Year$)

i think you will find tigers will be funding a bit of ayshfords first year salary

you might like to think not but they are
the last line of your post was pretty pathetic as well

And furthmore... Despite what you claim I would "like to think"... If be more than happy for the tigers to pay all of ayshfords salary to ensure he never pulls on our jersey again... Biggest lemon you guys have bought since beau Ryan!!

beau is quality. finds good metres out of dummy half and is one of the more safer wingers.

not to mention the fact that he's probably up there in top 3 in terms of marketing, he would make the club more than what they pay him probably.

ayshford is another story, i agree hundred percent, hes a waste of space

We must have a different opinion on Quality? He's over rated and generally rubbish...
Always has been and I've not seen enough from him in skyblue to change my mind. - He had a half decent game at FB earlier in the year... Heck a couple of seasons ago, He was the only winger to play in the NRL for a whole season and not register a single line break... Not a 1!!
Can't polish a turd mate.... You "can" roll it in glitter though!!
He does have marketing value... But I can tell you from experience that amounts to SFA when he single handedly throws away game after game after game....
ps: some would call coote a game changer mate....

well they will be paying for his salary so you get your wish.

Ryan is a solid player not a world beater does better off the field than on it has actually attracted a few sponsors to the club this year

In regards to the Gallen V Smith 'banter', was it Gal who Brian Smith had a dig at about 'turning out huge after a off season at another club' after he couldn't get a spot at his 'junior' club when the peptide drama arose, fair dinkum Smith should be put out to pasture for once and for all, he has caused far more damage to the game than he has done good.

I think you'll find the only reason Gasnier is included is because the dragons management where stupid enough to give him a highly back ended contract. The others are included because the club moved them on. For that Reason Wallace will still be on Brisbanes books next year. Prince however will not be.

Why would Prince forgo a $200,000+ contract, seriously think about it, why would he give that money up?, there is no way he would, Brisbane will be paying him, someway...

The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce the signing of highly sought-after Australian schoolboy, Jackson Hastings.
With a number of NRL clubs pursuing his services, the Roosters have signed the exciting 17 year-old for three seasons, commencing in 2014.
“The Roosters were the team I grew up supporting so I’m stoked to be joining the club. I’ve still got a lot to learn and I’m excited to be joining guys like Mitchell Pearce and James Maloney who I can learn so much from,” said Hastings.
In signing with the Roosters, Hastings will continue a proud tradition of playing at the same club as his father, who in this case is Roosters Hall of Fame inductee, club legend Kevin ‘Horrie’ Hastings.
Player number 674, ‘Horrie’ played with the club between 1976-87 and is the first Easts clubman to play 200 first grade games. He held the record for the number of first grade games for Easts until broken by Luke Ricketson in 2005.
Roosters recruitment manager, Peter O’Sullivan, believes that Hastings has a big future in the NRL.
“This is a real coup for the Roosters – we are proud to have the next generation of Hastings joining our club,” said O’Sullivan.
“Jackson is a wonderfully talented young man who can play in the halves, at hooker or fullback. As we know, he hails from a proud rugby league legacy, but in saying that, Jackson is his own young man and we look forward to watching him develop on and off the footy field in the coming years.”
Hastings will officially join the Roosters when the club’s 2014 NRL pre-season commences later this year.

I follow the Broncos and I 100% agree on the Prince thing. Why would he knock back a $200000 a year contract going into his final year of the NRL when he is actually playing not that bad footy? Something is not right as I really think they have signed or got someone else to fill his position?

Yep they do Anthony Milford. That's why prince was told he will be playing Qcup next year and decided to retire. Barba will be announced in the next 2 weeks and as soon as November 1 hits Milford will.
