12/13 Gold Standard, Gonna be good??? opinions please

So far I'm very excited about the base:) and parallel sets.

A little disappointed in how many stickers there are.

Superscribes are nice but maybe not as nice as last year.

I still want to bust a couple.

Agreed! The Base platinums are 200% better than both 10-11 and 11-12 IMO
And they made platinum /10 parallels of the inserts!

The Superscribe design probably isn't as nice as last year, but the checklist is 10 x better. Larry Bird, Bill Russell, Jerry West, Lenny Wilkins, Penny Hardaway, Horace Grant, Steve Nash, Durant, Kobe!

Ironically, there isn't a single Spur in the list, but I am loving the set!
 
Durant and Russell superscribe autos /10 listed. Thinking of having a crack at the Russell. Never seen such an awesome auto of his. If you are going after it drob50 I'll leave it with you.

If it is the one listed by Alexlazeravich then yeah, I am watching it like a hawk!! lol I tried to get it direct from him on Blowout with no luck!

Think it was that one. You're lucky I'm not allowed to log into my ebay account. The wife bought me something for my bday on it and I am not allowed to see what lol.
 
WOW! That sucks!
I offered on the Durant Superscribe and it ended without even a counteroffer, yet I was only $50 away from the sale price! :(
 
Is there anyone else here besides me who is also underwhelmed by this years Gold Standard. Most of the boxes seem to have multiples of the same sub set in them, I for one am not a fan of that

Hey Garth

For sure man I'm not really feeling it this year except a couple sets but there is so many!
There is like 90 rc autos compared to last years 32 or so.
And they have gold strike and hall if gold with too many in them for my likings with Heaps of common players!!
I've seen some breaks and it really is a hit or miss which is making me think twice about breaking my 4 incoming boxes or just sell them??

Bill Russell sold for a pretty penny. Considering i have seen cases busted with not a single superscribe pulled, not surprised at what some of the lower numbers cards sell for.

I put $250 on it thinking I would be well over and got outbid in the final second! Damn bid snipe programs! lol

On the bright side, I have locked in a Durant! ;)
