The Official SAN ANTONIO SPURS thread

Big call with no Parker or Manu. Denver has to be the most exciting team to watch!! I'd love to finish second cause I think the lakers would beat okc.

Surely there's a reason for it..how ironic that only a couple of days ago, he was being interviewed for being on Forbes list of most overpaid NBA players and he laughed and said, "I'll still be making my millions next year" Ouch.

I've been reading a bit more about it.

Apparently Jack has not been happy with his mins (he's also been injured alot) and his negativity is at risk of affecting the younger players.

Such a shame because Jack is a big moment kind of guy, not a regular season guy.

And he can play some D.

No doubt, for me, Jack is a bit like a Nate Robinson for the Bulls..just high energy and never saw a shot he didn't like and when he's on fire, look out..the Spurs will miss him in the playoffs..

Ok, that's enough dwelling! Time to start looking at 13-14s championship run! lol

What do they need to change? My thoughts:

Resign Manu to minimum so he can retire a Spur! I don't care that he failed in these playoffs, he deserves it!
Sign Josh Smith!!!! Spend Manu's money on a good FA! Josh Smith is a good option and maybe with coach Bud going to Atlanta he could help get a deal done?? lol

Wishful thinking!!!

As much as I hate to admit it the spurs are done. Manu obviously past it and they no longer have a game changer. Leonard may become that game changer. Be interesting to see where they spend the $14m from manus contract. That is if they aren't in the luxury tax.
