im liking the fact that they have even made inserts. they couldnt even manage that last set so this is a definite improvement already

We must understand they could not produce cards with any NRL items on them for their first set as they did not have the contract, Select did. That was the only reason we got Origin, Test and All Stars in the release.

i understand that, in fact i thought the concept was great they got their name out their before they took over the license, and produced what we hadnt seen since stars of origin in 2000 and 05 tradition

but i dont think they did it well, while the autos were top notch, the patch cards were useless and there was no in between (inserts)

Wow $30 for a album. I think i may just buy a plain folder.

Well you do get two packets of cards (retail at $3.99 each), one folder card ($5?), assuming 20ish plastic sleeves (retail 50c each = $10). Means you're paying only $7 for the actual album. Seems reasonable to me.

In Auckland there is a shop that sold the 2012 album + 2 packs for $17 which is cheaper than over in Aussie.

Good news.............It would only need to be a 26 card set to get you an eels card as the Storm's 07 / 09 have been wiped off the record. And maybe even 25 when Manly get stripped of their 2008 premiership.

Back on topic I like what I am seeing and reading at the moment with this release, nice Young Gun cards

Well i received Select's promo stuff today for their AFL Champions series.....and i have to say...i'm happy to see the NRL release in ESP's hands.

They currently have my full support, it's theirs to lose

I'm a bit wary of going off early, because last year's rep set looked great initially, but then a few issues arose! However at the moment, it looks a million times better than the AFL Champions. At least 17 signature cards vs 1 in 18 pack inserts, it's a bit of a knock-out.
Credit to them for listening to the fans, too.

I just recieved a Hindmarsh 2013 One community card and it has the........

"NRL 2013 TRADERS" logo on it

Sadly it has a pre 2012 champions feel and look about?
