I reckon there's a 1 per case chance of me being present. However, I will definitely plan for 2008!!!!
Keep me posted, as I may be able to, as I have a friend that's a tennis umpire, so we may all come over for the tennis, and then I can hang with you guys for a day or 2, and then re-unite with my mates at the tennis or cricket.

As you can see everyones dates are ALLLL over the place. To do what was planned needed definate numbers to make bookings etc rather than just ending up in a dodgey pub room.
Over Jan any of the Melbourne boys are welcome to hook up for a beer and catch up but next year or sooner there will be an actual invite with rsvp to see if it goes ahead at what scale.
Its a little disapointing as it would of been a mega night and thanks to all that offered to donate the prizes etc and help out. It wouldn't be much work at all apart from getting a date to keep everyone happy :-(
Any later in Jan is the Aussie open and any earlier is xmas etc. Might start working on next years a lot sooner so people can lock in and get cheap flights and time off etc.

Could I suggest we put it off for a few months? Say around June or something....
That way, we can set a date now (or in Jan) and book our flights/accommo, etc. And have time to save some $ for any spendings that are required.
I think this might be a better idea for most.
I know we've known about it for a long time, but there's been times where there heaps of interest, and heaps of talk, and then there were times where there were no talk, and little interest.
I'm still keen for it, but we're gonna be REAL tight over Chrissie/NY and at the moment, flights towards the end of Jan are looking pretty slim or available, but pretty expensive.

Yeah we might put it up to poll what month etc to do this.
I understand things are tight over xmas etc but no month more than Jan do most Aussies get a significant amount of time off. Thats why I put it up for that time initially. A Melbourne winter Ozcards weekend. Just more reason for those thong wearing interstaters to bitch ;-)

Why don't we do it when the Major collectors show is on at Sandown (usually in July) when there are heaps of dealers down here also?
