The Official NEW YORK KNICKS thread

I see the understanding of the Knicks however, they tried to offload Amare before but couldn't now leverage for Howard, if it works you have a franchise player who Melo can post low and would work + defensive presence at both ends, if he didn't sign on past this season it frees up $$ for CP3

As for Chandler have noticed his intensity has picked up the last 2 games and he is starting to lead the pack, I don't see why you couldn't have both Chandler and Howard in the paint be a very tough trip to match up against Howard and Chandler let alone Melo, Shrum and whoever they have left around to shoot 3's.

They don't have personal issues. They have playing issues. Amar'e looks lost when Chandler is in the paint.

JR Smith is too streaky, he has one great game and 3 lousy games. Glad to see Novak coming around, man does he have one of the nicest J's I have ever seen..........

Amare needs to back to being a centre, I honestly think that is where he played best last year and the one game this year. When Chandler is out of the game, rotate him back to centre.

Where to for the Knicks next season?

Baron Davis
Mike Bibby
Jared Jeffries
Steve Novak
Landry Fields and Jeremy Lin are all off contract and J.R. Smith has a player option.

I've seen a bit of talk on Twitter about Ray Allen being interested in joining the Knicks, though I don't really see any need for him.

Think Mike Miller in MIA, he's effective, but rarely used as an option. Ray Ray is a good player, and hardly comparable to Miller, but when you have ball-demanding players (Bron & Wade), it'd be hard to imagine Ray Ray getting his decent looks that he requires to be an effective scorer.

I thought I read something about Nash being interested in the Knicks (as well as Heat)?

Lets hope the Knicks beat Stern to keep Lin and Novak, get JR for a few seasons and the bring in Kidd as Lins backup with money to spend on Terry or Odom - that at full strength would be close to the best roster depth wise around.

2 more day till we find out if they'll match the Fields deal.

Looks like Marcus Camby is a Knicks again and Steve Novak is staying in NY.
