Official 2012-13 Offseason thread - trades, rumours, etc

Great signing by the Lakers. Suns did very well to get that many picks considering Nash was an UFA.

Lakers don't need to worry about rebuliding too much when Kobe and Nash go. There's always a young gun that will want to play for them that they can build around. Lakers are excellent at attracting top level talent.

Their chance to win is now, they have to pull out all the stops and with Deron signing with the Nets, Nash was the best pg out there.

It will still be interesting to see what moves they can make. Getting Hill is a nice addition. He can still give you plenty.

I'm sure they'll be making some more moves. If they can get Dwight, even for just one year, they may become favourites for the title.

nice recovery by suns after the loss of nash... getting beasley with so much untapped potential - the suns tend to get the best out of their signings more regularly than most teams... also the dragic addition - cant wait to see him run his own team full time, he is an exciting young player with loads of talent and some sick leftie handle

So what teams need a PG? Orlando for starters now that Nelson is leaving, and maybe Chicago for the 1 season?

I think he'd be a good fit in Chicago but don't think he'd want to go there knowing he'd be backup behind rose when he returms. Maybe NY would be a good fit!

anyone know where Lins at? Can he come back to his early form? It makes me wonder how these PG who r coming of serious injuries will fair next year. Rose, Lin, Rubio etc

On Lin

Rubio headed o/s for treatment, not sure about Rose. I think Rose will get off to a slow start, hopefully he can eventually get back to his best!

Yeah to me the most to be concerned about is Rose because his game is explosive.

Lin is a bigger stronger guy so does'nt need that raw speed as much and Rubio is not a leaper really, definitely pass first also.

It's a shame, those injuries are happening across alot of sports and take out such a huge chunk of a season.

Many won't agree with me, but I have seen other atheltes cop the same sort of injury, hard to return to 100%, very rare that they do!
