Celtics to re-sign forward Kevin Garnett to a three-year, $34 million deal, sources tell Yahoo! Sports.

Haha just came to post that lol

"Kevin Garnett has made up his mind and he'll return to the Boston Celtics next season.
Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports Garnett will sign a three-year contract for about $34 million.
By taking a massive reduction in salary, the Celtics still have plenty of room under the salary cap to sign other free agents."

Can't say I expected that and for that much money.

some more news

Mavericks free-agent point guard Jason Kidd will also join whichever team Williams chooses, sources said. Williams is spending the weekend playing golf with Kidd in New York's Hamptons, sources say, yet one more indicator that the Nets have at least a fighting chance to keep Williams and add Kidd sometime after free agency begins Sunday. The Houston Rockets are actively looking to trade veteran power forward Luis Scola, according to league sources briefed on Houston's plans. Although a specific trade partner for Houston has not yet emerged, sources told ESPN.com that the Rockets -- stocked with big forwards after coming away with Royce White and Terrence Jones in the NBA draft earlier this week -- are working to find a new home for Scola as they rebuild their roster. If the Miami Heat have it their way, they'll have a commitment from Ray Allen within hours of Sunday's start of free agency. The longer the process plays out, the less it may favor them. The Heat, according to sources, have made Allen their prime offseason target and will pursue him strongly when free agency opens Sunday at 12:01 a.m. ET. ESPN.com

They intend to offer him their $3 million mini-mid-level exception, a chance to win another title and significant playing time as they continue with the plan to play LeBron James as a power forward in the future. Heat players, including James and Dwyane Wade, have been publicly and privately recruiting Allen over the last month. "We've got five or six guys earmarked (in free agency) so we'll see how it goes," Heat president Pat Riley said. "We want to find as much space as we can on the floor for Dwyane, LeBron and for Chris (Bosh) to be able to operate." ESPN.com

I'm surprised at the 3 years, but that price is about right. He's settled perfectly and that's along the same lines that Tim Duncan will hopefully go to help the team there also.

Now if only the Celtics could get Dwight somehow.

Dwight Howard wants trade ----- to Brooklyn!

It will be better for Dwight to start anew. I don't think he'll happy anymore in Orlando. I can't really blame him for his actions because I really don't have any idea what the Magic are doing withing their organisation. But a change for one of the most dominant center in the last decade is something I would like to see. It would be a total waste if he gets stuck with the Magic.

This is insane! If everything goes to plan Brooklyn will be stacked!

D-Will has said he prefers Brooklyn, Jason Kidd has said he will follow D-Will and now Dwight wants Brooklyn.

They would still need a good core of support players, see Heat last season. Humphries would be a good start, and wondr if the can keep lopez also!
