When you guys are talking about low numbers, say #002, is that demanding a priority over say #020 because it's lower, even though they have the same print run?

Or are NRL different, where you don't know the print run perhaps? I'll refer to NBA here, where cards are numbered to something specific say #/100, or #/50, etc. So say #002/100 and #020/100 would be the same price give or take, depending if they were a player's jersey/guernsey number.

Yes, from the same print run... #002 of 100 will fetch more than #020 of 100 of the same card.

The irony in the 2011 Strike set the 3 top signatures were all fullbacks so jersey No 1 & guess who who has all 3 in his vault.

That's bizarre IMO, that different sports can attract premiums for the lower numbered stuff, when they're no more rare than others from the same print run.

Its overly important but as an eels collector if i dont have the card i want then that comes 1st,
if i have the card but its not a low number, then i will chase the low numbers or the jersey numbers.

i have a few low numbered cards
2003 #3 Ashley Graham (low and jersey)
2005 #2 Tim Smith
2006 #3 Ben smith (low and jersey)
2008 #15 Hindmarsh case card
2007 #3 Hindmarsh Sig redemption
2010 #11 Retro Hindmarsh (low and jersey)
2010 #11 Retro Hayne
2011 #5 and #7 Hayne Awards

and couple others around the #20ish,

but get the cards 1st then i chase the numbers

Truthfully if i owned the rights to the cards i would do the same, i would keep all #1 as well, actually i probably would keep them all

I have never worried about low numbers, only one I have is the Darren Lockyer Jersey Signature from 2003 #007

Strike Churchill Slater #004. Only other of interest is 2009 Classic Uate #300/300. Didn't know & didn't really care.

That's when you look for another Slater and sell the low one for more money..
