Steve Nash & Phil Jackson to New York?? hmmm that would be great

Nash is 38... In his prime he was better then Parker in his prime, which is now.... Period...! 2 MVP's proves that!

Nash see's the court and his teammates like no other player in the league in the last 15 + years.......

Nash has got all his numbers and achievements with very, very little around him..... Amare being the only real big time player in his prime that Nash was teamed with.... An aging Grant Hill and Shaq do not count!

Parker has had his whole career with people like Manu, Duncan and Robinson for a little while if I remember correctly, which I probably don't. Not to mention pop coaching......

At 38 I'd still have Nash as my Floor general, unless I had players like Griffen, DeAndre Jordan, Dwight Howard etc etc around me... Geeze, even add Timmy D to that list! Nash has done everything himself or very, very close to it, Spurs have always, in parkers career, been a excellent TEAM UNIT, well coached and just have always found a way to gel! Nash has had to put up with a revolving door and even at 38 still gets absolutely great numbers.

Parker over Nash right now, of course... Nash over Parker in his prime without a doubt!!!!! And you'll find 99.9% of Non Spur NBA fans will agree with that.

Also, don't get me wrong, TP9 is a great player and has more to offer, but Nash is a 2 Time MVP for a reason.....

Hmmmm, nice debate, but let's not forget that Nash was always viewed as an offense only guy, it was well documented he was a liability on defense (yes in his mvp years). His MVP's were fair enough, but I reckon if the NBA could go back they would give one to of those to Kobe.

Nash makes his teammates better, something that's hard to do. He got plenty of guys career deals because of how well he got them to perform.

Nash DID NOT have very little around him. The years the suns were up there he had Marion and Amare IN THEIR PRIME, before injuries and bench roles.

Parker played in D. Rob's last 2 years when he was averaging about 8 pts and 6 rebs. Definately not the D. Rob we all know that dominated.

Let's not forget Nash has had his stats padded by run and gun ball for years, even now.

I'd say in all, you're both probably wrong, HA HA:)

Nash is a gun still, but his MVP years are probably similar to what Parker is doing right now.

I'm biased but take the best Steve Nash and the best T.P, Most people it's a toss up, I'd take Parker. He can get in to the paint with ease, so can Nash too I guess, Nash has the 3 point shot though.

Wow this is a tough call, ha ha.

I'm with T.P. 3 rings and a finals MVP (outshining T.D is'nt easy).

Who does Nash get to Pass to?
Who does Parker get to Pass to?

Nash is definitely in the Best PG categories hands down:worthy:

Does'nt make sense? Apparently Spurs are old and over the hill or full of rookies. No all stars in the Spurs bar Parker dude.

Parker is in the best PG category hands down also.

Nash gets to mostly pass to Scrubs lol

Parker is very good and highly rate him. He can be a very exciting player

but to say Nash is not in the Best PG Category is a joke (he may not be the best but he has been one of the best)

Would def have to say Steve Nash over Tony Parker any day of the week.

To use Championship rings as an indicator on how good an individual is there clearly you need to get off the crack. Some of NBA's top players in the last 30 years didn't win a title. LeBron is one of them at this stage.

Just means they had a great team through either supporting casts, great players around them, good chemistry or all of them combined.

Look at Pippen for instance would you say because he has won multiple rings that he is a far superior player than LeBron or D Rose?

An individual is determined but 1 their stats 2 their individual accolades. MVP's Leading Assist, All NBA, All Star nods etc

All I can say is, I'd have Timmy D and Manu as players over Amae and Marion anyday and POP as a Coach over run and gun! You can put all Nash's achievements on coaching style all you want, coach only does so much, he managed to keep the tempo up for him and the team and still do things that players can only wish they could do.....

let's not forget that none of you know what you are talking about and Parker is better than Nash and Rondo and CP3 and Westbrook combined!

He does have 4 rings too ;)

ok lets look at it this way who would you rather defend?? And if you say nash you are all bafoons. Parker is also twice the defender of nash and you have to play both ends of the floor in bball!!

and lets not forget that Nash probably should of had the MVP 3 years running...

You are dreaming with this comment. Have a look at the names of 1 time MVP's and see who Nash beats out and I guarantee you put him under them.

Hey I rate Nash very highly, but T.P has really proved he deserves to be named up there with the best after this season. He's been great for ages, but this year is close to an MVP year.

And yes I would take him over Derrick Rose.
