St George Fan day 22/4/2012

Hey People,

Went to the St George fan day with my kids at Jubilee oval on the weekend where we met most of the squad minus the Country rep players.

I also got to put a face to a fellow oct card addict who has great taste in fooball teams AyiosYiorgos.

The Dragons players were pretty generous with their time with most staying over an hour beyond the scheduled time to get through all the people after signatures (well most as I believe Michael may have had an issue). Even after an hour a couple of the players still came over and had a kick and a game with the kids on the sacred ground...

Dell is still the man and whilst he was the MC for the day the line to meet him was probably the longest, well definatley the longest wait because he spent so much time chatting to everyone.

Here's a taste of what I got signed, I particularly like the Gold cards and whilst I haven't scanned them some of the 2012 commons look aweful as the ink seemed not to take to the card:

Thanks Owen, yeah not a bad haul and that is only about half....the kids got their Red V members caps signed which look pretty cool and I we also got a heap more 2010 and 2012 Champs signed.

I probably saw you there - well there weren't that many people getting cards signed from what I could see anyway.

I just got a poster signed. From what I can remember everyone who has played first grade this year was there except for the 5 Country players and Leeson Ah Mau.

Was that you in the St George jersey?

Were the posters at the gate I saw people with them but couldn't see them when I went in? I will be sweating on the Wollongong fan day to try and complete a couple of sets, it's a shame a few of the big names weren't there as you say Morris / Scott / Weyman / Creagh / Merrin.

Who else from the squad was missing? Kemp / Goodwin / Emmett

Pretty sure Emmett was there - Kemp/Goodwin weren't.

Posters were available from the merch area just inside the gate. Look pretty good signed.

Yeah we have 4 St George folders all full of signatures, it's good especially for those players who don't have cards to get signed.....
