Eels Players after the Knights game

we went to the footy (Knights v Eels) where my son enjoyed himself being a knights supporter but for me the eels going down AGAIN!!!!! was disappointing and to top it of we waited for over an hour after the game to meet the players only to have Most of them brush all us devoted eels fans off by just ignoring us all and hoping straight on the bus, i get 1 maybe 2 chances a year to see the players in person so i was very disappointed.
We the devoted eels supporters feel every win along with every loss and the devoted ones stay behind to lift the spirits of the players as they leave the ground but it seems the poor form they are showing on the field is showing itself off the field as well, we waited all that time and only 5 team members bothered to mingle with the fans and sign things, take photos etc, Justin Poore, Stephen Kearney, Cheyse Blair, Fui Fui Moi Moi and Ben Roberts...and i cant help but think that was because they had their private vehicles there????????
I love The EELS but that was poor form brushing of the fans like that.

.some teams are like that after a loss which is poor form .. we all know it sucks to lose but without the fans the game has nothing Today after their loss today the warriors spent plenty of time with the fans signing taking pics etc

that's right and we don't get to see them to often as i usually work weekends and going to the footy is a rare treat so we like to make the most of it and seeing the players after the game is half the fun. i probably wont get to see them play again for some time now and my efforts to convert the boys failed AGAIN...lol

Yeah that is poor form, without the fans the players have no job. As Nathraider said the Warriors where great with the fans even us Raiders fans. I have to say the Warriors where one of the most polite friendly teams I have seen. Great to see that & even after a loss. Other teams could take a leaf out of there book. I gained a lot of respect for the Warriors today

I think the Eels are showing that things within the club are not right to go to the point of just ignoring the faithful waiting to see them

my 10 yr old who is knights supporter even said "haha dad they dont even want to see you" i had to laugh at him as did some others in close proximity as he was right and we knew it too

This is the stuff the club needs to read this and regardless of the result & respect those who show up to see the team (btw i am a huge eels fan).

i have posted this on their FB page, sent them an email and a couple of other places it was so wrong and to see the faces of the kids that didnt get so much as a wave from their idols I wont abandon my loyalty as a supporter to the mighty eels but i have to say i am not proud to say it at the moment

That sucks David, im a huge eels fan and the loses are discouraging but c'mon they can mingle with their fans a bit... you have to be nice to the people on your way up cos you usually see them again on your way down.. the eels are rock bottom at the moment so you'd think they would be extremely happy to see loyal fans. Im out at every home game cheering them on and will be waiting after a game soon for IP autos...hopefully they dont treat me that badly!!

I think everyone takes a NRL players accessibility for granted.
Who would want to put on a happy face for 100s of people after a shit day at work?
It sucks for the fans but its understandable imo.

That sucks David, im a huge eels fan and the loses are discouraging but c'mon they can mingle with their fans a bit... you have to be nice to the people on your way up cos you usually see them again on your way down.. the eels are rock bottom at the moment so you'd think they would be extremely happy to see loyal fans. It was hardest when a 6 yr old thinks his idol doesnt like him because he wouldnt come to the gate or even wave, it maybe coz of drilling by kearney who would know but for a matter of 5 - 10 minutes of their time its not asking much

i can see that side of it to a point but for the sake of a few minutes it wouldn't hurt to say gidday etc to the people who pay their wages in a round about way, its more the way they snubbed everyone rather than the time anyway to just walk by and not even wave to everyone there and its not that there was 100's of people there would have been around 50 or so, i think most left coz they could see the storm front coming across Newcastle

haha Blake is a knights supporter and everytime i get close to thinking of him being a eels supporter the bloody players turn up at his school etc ARGGGHHH i cant win
he will be a knights member on his birthday, he doesnt know it yet but he will be happy

You would think after a loss the players always still say thanks to the fans for there support when at the end of the day it's us fans that keep there high salary. I really feel sorry for kids who get brushed by there heroes. I was like that once and still am. I get disappointed myself when i player does'nt sign or say hi. I think wow i can get over it but what happens if it was a kid.

I have seen the effects of kids meeting there heroes and some kids missing out.

I'm very surprised that the way the eels are at the moment they would want every fan to back this team 100%.
