Hi. Learned from bogutjordan case, so I want to ask the forum for suggestion.
Month ago I bought card at this forum.
This time I bought card, which expensive enough for me to freak out if I didn't receive it.
The seller has a good/large enough feedback. The seller shipped my item using Registered Australian post on 19th Feb 2012.

The seller takes the photos of the package, complete with my full and correct address, plus the reg. label. But unfortunately, I checked the reg number at auspost.com.au and it doesn't exist from the beginning. Or I can say the reg number invalid.
But since, I ever experience the same thing, the reg number doesn't exist on the web, but still I received the cards, so I decide to wait.
But this time I can't wait anymore because it's already too long to wait.
From 19th Feb to 3rd April, it's near 2 months.

So, what should I do?
thanks.

You should use the registered post tracking number he provided on your local postal service website's tracking system. See if you can find any information on that. If not, get this seller to file a complaint to Australia Post via the phone, then they will do something to locate the item. If it is lost, he will be paid up to $100 compensation. At this point, it is really up to you 2 to decide if you want to share the loss 50/50 or he should refund you the money, then he takes the $100.

@brian: Thanks for your advise. Like I said, the track number he provided is invalid. I already checked on the www.auspost.com.au, and it's not available.
I already asked the seller, and the seller said, he already asked the post office and the post office can't locate it.

A few points!

1 - Have you checked with the Indonesian Post company? Like when we send to the USA from Aus, it will not appear on Auspost webste, but it will show on USPS once it arrives in the US

2 - It is one thing for him to say 'he already asked the post office and the post office can't locate it', but it is another thing entirely for him to open a 'lost item' case file with Australia Post!

3 - Was the thread and all other site guidelines followed? If so, I believe you should be opening a 'Problems in progress' on your trade thread!

4 - Have you properly discussed it with the seller? And are they willing to help with the issue??

1. Yes I did. And it's the same. Not available track number or invalid.
2. Yes, and I hope he read this thread and open the case file ASAP.
3. Yes I follow the guidelines. We are using thread deal, and confirm there like usual.
4. Yes we have discussed it and the seller looks like want to help, but not so fast reply my message.

Good work! I think you have done the best you can then!!

Do you still have the photo of the registered number?

I am a little unsure why he felt the need to send you a photo of it before posting though?

I don't know. But I believe the seller is honest.
I just desperately need this matter solved, my card or my money back.

From what it looks like I don't think that item provides tracking.. I sent a package that had a similar receipt to the US and it provided no tracking at all just that it was registered and that's all.. I could be wrong though

In my opinion, if the post office cannot locate the item, it means you are entirely not at fault here. So the seller should refund you straight away without hesitation. Filing a case against Australia Post is purely between the seller and Australia Post. It should not be used as an excuse to not pay you back to money because Australia Post has already admitted their fault, in which case, it is the seller's business to get his $100 and postal cost back from Australia Post. It is an entirely separate issue.

??? Ow??? Our agreement for the trade, the seller will use Registered.
so if it's not registered, then????

It can be registered and have no tracking.. Australia post sucks in that way.. The only way I know of that you can send with tracking is more expensive and has a totally different looking receipt thing... Again I could be wrong though I'm just saying what I've had happen recently.. I thought the same thing that it would have tracking because it was registered but when I put in the number it came up with nothing.

So by the sound of all that, it sounds like the PO hasn't scanned it in at all! So they have lost it before it even started its journey? Otherwise it would have at least one activity on the Reg #!

All you can do is get the seller to open the case and follow it up with them! The fact that there is no scan at customs or in your country indicates it is still in Aus?? I would think anyway

Good Luck

I thought that but the package I sent to the US had nothing at all and it turned up without a problem.. I sent mine just the basic Registered international post thing but since that I've sent the more expensive way which does provide the tracking.

Usually with this type of reg post, it doesn't offer 'full' tracking, meaning you can't find anything online, however if you call 13 POST, they can track it up until it leave Aus.

Reg post international is advertised an ONLY offering a signature on delivery.

Ah ok yeah I never called the phone I just know nothing showed up on any website but I had no problem with the package turning up although it did take awhile but nowhere near as long as it has taken for this one to turn up..

From my recent experiences with Registered Post international as well as dealing with Australia Post, it is safe enough to use for eBay items because it does have tracking in the US and Canada Post. Even though it's advertised as no tracking, it actually has tracking. If you don't see any tracking, that means the postal worker forgot to scan it into the system which can happen to any type of item.

I have recently sold a lot of Jeremy Lin cards and they are all over $100 each, so I used Registered Post. They all showed up on the USPS site when they left Australia, arrived at LA, then the problem starts there. Some items don't get scanned anymore from that point onwards, some get scanned all the way to being signed and delivered. Canada Post even put a scan of the signature on the tracking site. The system is there to support tracking but it's the people running it who are sloppy.

I reckon even if the item showed up, if the tracking is not showing, it means they didn't do the job they promised. They deserve to get claimed that $100.

Many thanks for all of you, for the information and advices.
At least, I know what I have to do now.
I appreciate for all of your comments here. I'll update every single things happen on this thread.
