youre right, every team has a bunch that are just as bad. but theyre the ones in the headlines at the minute.
and they do some crazy stuff sometimes. remember when they threw rocks & excrement at the ambulance that drove rooney away after his injury? cant say any other fans have done that...
Nope, just a sore ankle, poor performance from City this morning. 1-0 early and tbh City didn't look much like scoring..dominated possession but with 11 behind the ball, they couldn't break them down...
Interesting thing for me was a CLEAR CUT two footed tackle from Glen Johnson - no card. Didn't take long to point out the inconsistency...

/\/\ for some reason i like the way he thinks. the only thing ive disagreed with him about was his stance on rooneys part in the kompany RC.
EDIT: looking a bit more into the kompany RC, im finding it harder and harder to justify. i just read the rules, and there is nothing saying that 2 footed tackles are automatic red cards.
"A player is guilty of serious foul play if he uses excessive force or brutality against an opponent when challenging for the ball when it is in play.
A tackle that endangers the safety of an opponent must be sanctioned as serious foul play.
Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force and endangering the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play."
so did he use excessive force? i dont think so. he may have endangerd the safety of the player, but you could say that about any tackle...

A NZ soccer ref on twitter told me privatley that red cards are given for.....'For a foul to be a red card, it must use excessive force. Meaning the player has far exceeded the necessary force and is in danger of injuring his opponent.' He wouldn't comment specifically on that decision but that's what he told me. U could argue 2 footed tackles do but I'm done talking about it!
