I DID!
nah, crazy game. The sending off was an interesting one. Two footed challenge from Kompany, you might say fair enough. But he got the ball, and Nani normally goes down like a sook after minimal contact, so maybe a yellow card would of been fair. Hopefully City lift their game and make it more interesting 2nd half

Wowee, it's going well for LFC
Liverpool star Stewart Downing arrested after 'punching his ex-girlfriend in nightclub' | Mail Online

that red card really ruined the game. it was a 'clean' tackle and even tho it was 2 footed, at 11 mins in you gotta show some discression. ive seen tackles since then that have been worse.
liverpool making real headlines this season.

Crazy game alright! U know when both sets of fans applaud their teams off the pitch that it's been a goodie. Red card was sooo soft. For sure a two footed tackle but Nani just jumped it and kept going - Foy gave the one that Rodwell did when Suarez went down like a shot duck in the Merseyside derby. He also missed a dead set penalty for United today - he's terrible - right alongside Attwell as the worst refs there are.
Interesting draw for 4th round, Evra going back to Klanfield and QPR playing Chelsea - wonder if Ainton Ferdinand will shake Terry's hand?

Neil Warnock sacked by QPR. Harsh IMO. He got them back into the EPL after how long and they have given him stuff all to strengthen the squad.

red card was complete crap, ruined the game. in saying that was the most exciting game i have watched for a while, and you have to hand it to the formation / tactics mancini used in the second half like the commentators of my stream were saying you almost forgot man city lost

It stinks of 'having someone better lined up" - I agree it's harsh on him. He's a real character and will be missed. If it's Mark Hughes they have lined up (it's the rumour) look out for a Roque Santa Cruz $18 million signing...

mancini says rooney influenced the decision for the RC. im positive he did, but thats got nothing to do with it does it? its the refs problem if he lets players influence him...
and demba ba's release clause is only 7mill?! they got to get him to sign a new contract or theyll lose him for sure.

The trouble with Kompany's red is the rule. It says 2 footed tackle - you're off. Kompany and Nani just proved you can have instances where no one is hurt and u win the ball. The rule is there for dangerous play as 2 footed tackles tend to badly injure players. In this instance Nani wasn't even touched, Komps got all ball and the game carrie on.
Having said that, 2 footed tackles are dangerous, no doubt. I think he deserved a yellow and a talking to. Instead Foy gives him a straight red with no convo and ruins the game.

Good to see Rooney ****ing on on twitter saying it wasn't him that got him sent off. What'd u scream in the refs ear for then?? Him and Rio always sing when they're winning - write nothing when they lose...both crapping on about how it was a straight red. U wouldn't hear a peep outa them if it was Smalling or someone who made the exact same tackle..

/\/\ its all about the discretion a ref should show. if they called for everything that was technically a foul, the game would never have a flow to it. YC card wouldve been enough. and its ridiculous to think that rooney actaully had an influence on the ref. yes he was in his ear, but it hardly means he convinced him. players are always on the refs case...
foy is terrible, but i draw the line at him being that weak.

and henry just scored. clinical. awwwww yeah...

Henry with the winner - u can't make that up!!!!

As for Rooney - sgt pepper - agreed but it looks awful - straight in there screaming at him....I hate card waving crap. As Mancini said - I got bagged for doing it and Rooney can do that. Perhaps I'm just bitter!! ;-)

messi wins the ballon d'or. only the 4th player to win 3 and only the 2nd to win 3 in a row. the guy is undoubtedly a step above any other player playing today...

EDIT: rooney denies waving an imaginary red card at the ref and after watching it a few times i have to agree. he holds his hand up, but its not what i would consider the typical gesture a player gives when hes implying a card should be given.
honestly, i cant believe its really such a big talking point. do peeps really think rooney has that much sway?
and cantona for president. hes running for this years french presidential election.

Very poor form from the FA.. Manchester City's appeal on Kompany's red card rejected, receives 4 match ban! Tad harsh lads.

well a straight red is a 3 match ban, and its his 2nd RC so they slapped him with an extra game, as they often do. im suprised they appealled since its kinda rare for a decision to be overturned, and always risky that theyll add another game on top for wasting their time.
really, its the ref who was harsh, because once it goes to the FA their only job is to determine whether the card was for a breach of the rules or not. it was. theres no room for them to lessen the punishment unless the card was never warranted. their hands were tied basically.

I think it's up to the ref to decide whether he made a mistake - in other words u have to get the ref to say - sorry, got it wrong - Foy is a twat - he's the one who red carded Rodwell for his Suarez tackle in the Merseyside derby - he'll never admit his mistake so the ban stands.

The suck thing is some refs would see that challenge and hit him with a yellow and stern warning. Clattenberg is one who does this, and Webb (see De Jong Cup final kung fu kick!) - Foy fires every 2 footed tackle. It is harsh.
