Twitter.....my new guilty pleasure.

Hi everyone,

Well as the title suggests, I've been getting into Twitter a lot recently. At first i dismissed it as a bit of a fad but recently I have been able to have a chat (not a retweet) with some interesting people.

Its THE place to keep up to date with all the latest NBA transactions!

In the last few weeks ive exchanged messages with the following people; The NSW Premier, Phil Gould, Neil Finn, Steven O'Keefe, Paul Murray (TV and Radio), Sam DeBrito (Writer) and some others like Tracy Hackler from Panini plus a few of the regulars here and in the US.

Anyone else here use twitter and if so, have you spoken to anyone interesting?

Yeah I have dabbled a bit, Ive had conversations with Nathan Bracken, Steve 'Bluey'Southern, Will Davison, Phil Gould, Susie Burell, John Hastings. Plus a few others. I won tickets to Bathurst this year via Twitter.

Havent really gotten into the whole twitter thing, with the @ and the # tags and all that jazz.
My girl loves it but to be honest i dont even get on FB any more.
Is it worth it Matt?

It's fun. i use it a lot to talk to people overseas, and even for work when we're promoting stuff or sharing websites. and lots of news and sports updates on the fly too.

It really annoyed me at first, I hated it with a passion because I thought it was stupid (still do in some cases); but if you use it to follow people you normally wouldn't be able to connect to (ie famous people et al) then it's an invaluable tool and a great way of getting up to the second information.

Over the last couple months I've had discussions with Eric Pincus (HoopsWorld Writer), Larry Coon (CBA expert and writer for ESPN, NY Times and HoopsWorld), Scott Howard-Cooper (NBA.com writer) and Serge Ibaka retweeted a msg I sent to him!!

So it's pretty fun haha
