Your early tips for season 2015-16...

Ah typical, soft, doesn't wanna put his money where his mouth is.

I wouldn't even bet that the spurs would make the finals because you need too many things to go your way.

I'll even give you 6th place:)

So I'm soft, but you can't back your "great tip". Good on ya...

Oh dear, calm down bud. No need to cry.

I'd get much better odds at sportsbet than the 2-1 you'd offer. Unless of course you'll give me the Vegas odds of Mia making the Finals???

Interesting that Vegas has Miami 3rd favourite for the East.

Odds to win the 2015-16 NBA Eastern Conference
Team Odds
Cleveland Cavaliers 5/12
Chicago Bulls 8/1
Miami Heat 15/1
Atlanta Hawks 18/1
Indiana Pacers 18/1
Washington Wizards 22/1
Milwaukee Bucks 25/1
Toronto Raptors 25/1
Boston Celtics 60/1
Detroit Pistons 65/1
New York Knicks 80/1
Orlando Magic 90/1
Brooklyn Nets 100/1
Charlotte Hornets 150/1
Philadelphia 76ers 150/1

Miami wasn't my tip, it's just good to see people have a guess at someone else.

I think Miami can put it together this year if healthy. Wade played very well before getting injured, so did Bosh (I've read he'll be 100%), then they got Dragic late. Now they've added G. Green and Amare off the bench. Plus Whiteside and the rest, solid group for the East.

Of course it's still the Cavs or maybe the Bulls to lose. All the other teams in the East are pretenders. Hawks have lost D. Carroll. Wiz lost Pierce, I don't rate any others to challenge. Bucks will be exciting, but I'm not sure they're good enough.

You're a flog @drobfan8. Calling people out and then can't stand by your own comment. Then having to resort to try and insult people on a message board? Please...

Ohh if you want odds, then TAB have Miami, Washington and Atlanta the same value. Or got to Sportsbet and find Atlanta and Washington at shorter odds. Doesn't mean jack either way.

Point being, I personally don't think they will do that well and I'm not a betting person. Heck I could be wrong and thats fine and you can disagree with it, but keep your school yard antics out of it.

Actually sportsbet has Mia the same odds as WAS. Either way, nobody has Mia 7th at best.

You called someone "drunk" for their tip and now me a "flog", I don't know what a flog is but that sounds like name calling to me.

Yep, you're definitely a bit precious. Calm down sister.

I'll take the sportsbet odds of $40-1 then. Oh wait, now you don't bet. Typical.

Enjoy your day.

Blows my mind how people aren't capable of having a basic discussion without ending up arguing like 12yr olds. Happens so often on here and ruins so many threads.

People are passionate about sport, sport is tribal so naturally it's easy to get defensive. In fact, sports "fandom" is often compared to religious beliefs by a number of Physiologists (even consider how the words devotion, dedication, sacrifice, commitment, prayer, celebration apply to both). When people who are that passionate have their beliefs questioned, most of the time there's only one way that response will head.

I agree with this and it might be the case but it's a big coincidence isn't it that a lot of the time one of the parties involved happens to be Ben lol @drobfan8 - knowledgeable yes, big shit stirrer yes. :D

You have got me there. Honestly.

My bad wjrwebber, I don't mean to get people fired up. I never add enough emoticons either. That usually helps with keeping things light.

:)

You're maybe like me, I find it extremely freakin hard not to reply to people's incinuations or incendiary comments or stupid comments  it's all good though, in the end I try not to take things too too personally until I meet someone and the have it said to my face haha, it's tough on the forums sometimes but I gather that I'd be happy having a beer, a yarn and get along with 99% of people on here :)
