Well guys i put a pre order in for a 360 yesterday! Next thursday or wednesday midnight is the launch date.
At the moment i only have the system on pre order.
But i think ill be getting a nother controller but really not sure what game to get for launch. I really want nba 2k6 on it but i think it comes out 14th april on it. Live 06 sucks on it, good graphics but no franchise mode or all star weekend.
Anyone getting one?
Anyone know what game they would get if they could for a launch game?

Yeah I can't wait to get one! I pre-ordered mine a month or 2 ago and am picking ours up at midnight! I was annoyed with NBA Live 06 that they don't have all the extras like last year. Did you get the VIP pack because you get another cordless controller in it and I bought Call of duty 2 but I didn't realise some games are multizoned so you can get some cheaper on ebay and they work on Australian systems

Nah i didnt get the VIp package im struggling to pay of the system . It was good value the vip pack but perfect dark zero doesnt really interest me ey.
Yeah apparently we can play UK games.
I might get need for speed most wanted looks preety cool or Burnout Revenge , Its a hard one.
Cant wait till nba 2k6 and top spin 2 comes out love my sport games

Mooroopna, Vic. The shop I got mine from wasn't going to have a midnight launch but they decided to do it. I sold our townhouse and bought an older house and paid heaps less than market value so thats why I can afford one! I just wanted the controller and the other stuff in teh vip pack but yeah PErfect Dark Zero doesn't interest me much either! Top Spin 2 looks good. Call of duty 2 is multizoned and I am trying to find out what other games are multi zoned so I can get some other games a bit cheaper!

I recon that Ghost Recon looks preety dam good. For a shoot em up game.

I really like the look of fight night round 3 too!
So many games so little money in the wallet

Yeh i know the xbox games are designed for HD tvs to give you the full effect but its still noticbly different even if u have standard.
I will be hopefully getting a HD tv soon enough but till then im happy for it to be on a standard.

Yeah, it will be better than the current XBox even with normal tv, but it looks awesome with HD TV. I am looking at a HD Projector

i heard the PS3 will cost around $1500 and it doesnt even rate to the 360.
the sony playstation's will be as dead as the nintendo in a few years.
but boy how i wish i still had a nintendo

your tripping mate. the PS3 will be about $750 tops, as soon as all 3 consoles are released we will have the standard price drop as they try an compete. and how can you say it doesnt compare to the 360, it wont be released until xmas this year! sounds like you got your info from a microsoft fanboy.

Sony are still the front runners in the console wars BY FAR. they are taking their time trying to create an awesome console, not like microsoft who rushed out theirs. microsoft has more money to play with, but they dont have the expertise of sony. nintendo will go bankrupt pretty soon and be bought out by one of the 2 companies. its their own fault though, they relied WAY too much on their succesful franchises: about 50% of their games have been mario related, and about 25% have been zelda, metroid etc.

its pretty crazy to think that just over 10 years ago sega and nintendo were the 2 big companies. now they are dead as the dodo.

and dont forget xbox hasnt ever cracked the jap market. sony has had the monoply on them there and for that reason sony will never go the way of sega. and from what ive read the ps3 will be just as if not more powerful. but in due time we will see .

hey Metallica if you want a orginal nintendo/super nintendo, just go to a local bargin store should have 1 there ....i did a few years ago till i got them all on my laptop...

I have the latest need for speed on PS2....and while it is good. It gets pretty repetitive. I loved the underground series, but i feel this isnt as good.

Single player?
Burnout or NFS? Anyone played the burnout and know what its like?

Have both titles (Xbox) and they both rock.

Not sure about multiplayer mode on NFS but Burnout is sweet! Hell fun!

Burnout Revenge has more depth I think. There are certain goals to achieve in each level of races (Crash Sites, Bronze/Silver/Gold Medals, 1st place etc) where as in NFS Most Wanted all the idea is, is to win races, buy new cars and upgrade (or upgrade ones won from pink slips).

NFS lacks a few thing, like in Juiced you can race for pink slips, you can place bets with other racers, etc.

Burnout has EXCELLENT graphics, would love to see it on 360. Smashing a car at 200MPH makes a VERY sexy crash!! lol

Just lookin on the net, looks like I'll be getting a 360 (not soon, but it's on my list) Final Fantasy XI is being released on it!!!
