Xbox 360 Price Drop

Question: How important is a hard drive if you're only going to use it to save gameplay? The reason I ask is because the model Big W has out at the moment has no hdd, but a 256 mb storage card. Is this enough to save most games? I'm tempted but don't want to shoot myself in the foot and get too basic a model.

Would probably cover more than enough game saving space.

Not exactly sure what a 256mb storage card will do for you but if you plan to get yourself on xbox live definitely get a harddrive. Some game demos are as small as 600mb some as large as 1.5gb.

Just a suggestion. :)

Ta mate. Just another question, i've heard some games need to be installed on a x-box's hdd, would this mean I can't play certain games unless I had a hdd?

Only downloadable demo's mate. For some games though there's add on content exclusive for the 360 release. Things like new maps for COD, extra missions for GTA etc etc

IF you're going onto xbox live in the future definitely invest in at least a 10gig hd.
