Wizards Acquire Okafor & Ariza, Trade Lewis.

If they do Start Beal, Having Crawford come off the Bench would be really good for the Wizards

"Ariza and Wizards point guard John Wall, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 draft, played together in a pickup game in Los Angeles on Wednesday"

It is great for New Orleans. They have a new owner, the top overall pick, they get a fresh start to build around A Davis now.

Lots of cap-space, two first rounders in the lottery, they were not going to win by giving big money to the traded players and even got a second rounder in the deal.

For Washington, they can defend. Nene can get steals, Okafor can get blocks, not sure if either of them can really score. There should be lots of rebounds to get with Crawford and Ariza firing away.

Maybe Washington, with strength in the paint, can get into the 8th playoff spot. But for a big build to become a contender, New Orleans are doing the right thing and clearing everything out to build around the top pick.

For Rashard Lewis, he probably collects his $13million to not play for New Orleans and sits on the end of the bench for a contender. The Lakers probably make sense, with the two bigs and the guards having the ball they can use a small forward off the bench that just might hit some three-pointers.

better deal for my hornets than for the wiz imo as it frees up salary and allows them to rebuild a lot quicker than initially hoped... they may use the amnesty clause to get rid of rashard or otherwise package him up with kaman, contenders could use them both - never rated him much during his career

wiz have done well to get a good group of vet there now though, hopefully will be more competitive

the hornets unquestionably needed a shake up and the biggest salary problem was emeka, so good to see him moved on - this now gives them the chance to start fresh again by drafting anthony davis at no.1 and then building around him... re-sign eric gordon at sg, havent really had a really good look at him in new orleans for a long stretch yet due to injuries last season and then can look at signing a pg (imagine goran dragic or lou williams running the point here) or some solid bench contributors (jamal crawford would be good) in the free agency period, need better depth here... aminu seems like a nice young talent to keep developing, kaman not likely to get signed back up and in final year of deal so he is the logical trade bait - hornets should have some decent cash freed up soon... could become an attractive place to play ball pretty quickly with some of that young talent on board

a line up for this season, not brilliant but it is solid:
chris kaman
anthony davis
al aminu
eric gordon
jarrett jack

bench looks like this:
carl landry
jason smith
belinelli
xavier henry
vasquez

Kaman might not be there...

The Hornets also could make a push to re-sign power forward Carl Landry, center Chris Kaman or shooting guard Marco Belinelli. But it appears Kaman is not likely to be pursued by the Hornets, according to sources. New Orleans Times-Picayune
