Gorilla marketing is needed by us. Its going to be strong word of mouth and using our skills as seasoned traders to convince others that this is the best place for US. I cant see spending money listing cards that are marginal in value, IE, base... However with this, we can do that, we need to drive people to our sales though the board that I hope the admins will also help push. Revolutionize the online buy experience on a somewhat more neutral playing field.
Flying, mate, your looking for a very small market of cards. The issue here is not marketing to you, but the masses of different players and cards.
Just another thing I have been looking at, we should all change to paymate.com.au They direct deposit to your account and the buyer pays a nominal fee. Not for anything, but I am so over people haggling over fees. .50 cents or whatever you might pay for fees as a buyer is nothing really. Think of all the times you were a seller on ebay and paid their dumb ass fees. I would pay .50 cents to buy someones cards.
(edit from website, sorry about not having full info)
"Buyers have to pay to use the service -- I find the fees a little high (fees topping out at .50 cents Australian plus 3% of the transaction. That could be high enough to keep buyers away. However, if enough sellers start using this, the buyers will come. I found the User Agreement to be a little PayPalesque -- but I was able to dig up no significant media reports, court filings, consumer complaints or other discord about the service."
Also for you paypal haters, check out this site....
I know I hate sending money as gifts. I cant even get gifts any more as they shut that off for me months ago as I did it too many times. They get a good write up as being a great service and I would jump on it while the iron is hot.
For those of you who are sceptical, think about this, its a freedom to try and experience new things, maybe the old way is not working anymore. Maybe you can have both paypal and paymate. It is accepted in 38 countries currencies and you dont even have to have an account to pay someone. Its taken on ebay US and just tell people if they want your card, then take 3 minutes to pay you this way.
I am over paypal and the tag teaming of ebay and paypal is like dealing with herpes, the issues just never seem to go away!
If you have any other questions, have a read or drop a message here, I am sure the collective brain trust of the board will help each other out. However, if you are not willing to try, then dont troll this post.

Fair point Michael but while you are describing your issues and your desires as a seller (which I fully understand and support), I'm simply stating as a buyer what is important to me and all collectors: cards that they wanna buy.
Believe me, if you guys get going on Quicksales, I guarantee you I'll be checking it out.
Its a done deal, I have 4 days off coming up and the turbo lister that quicksales has can import my auctions I have already put in turbo lister. I am hoping we can start a trend and then get the word out, even on other boards. We (Carolyn and I) had a working model of an auction site that we would have run for free for anyone, however it was overly buggy and Richo can attest to the 100 emails he received in one minute about 2 years ago. I might have to look into it again.
Yeah I'm going to sign up to both in the next few days and list some stuff on there... Maybe we should ask admins to add a QS link to when we start a sales thread (instead of eBay:FS) that would be good advertising...
