i wonder what the prize is...
$11 365...........................................
Andy,
u kidding?????
the whole exquisite rookie AU GU set... i just saw him paid over 2 grand for dwight's single RC
It's 05/06 not 04/05. Dwight was 04/05.
Scott,
I am very well aware of that..#-o but you cannot see Ersk's previously bought items as they are over 90 days.. one of the cards we can currently see is Dwight Howard 04/05 RC.. This set is about 05/06 and Chris Paul alone banks over 3 grand recently..(new year rise of D-Will, Monta and Bynumn adds up alot).. I am just trying to tell Andrew because he wrote $675 previously LOL.. my intention is just to let Andy know that Ersk has paid over 2 grand for a single card... possibly more in 05-06 set, which has almost every top players.. unlike 04-05 missing major players such as Okafor....
I think the 04/05 set has a far better roster of rookie cards than 05/06. I know from personal expierence that 04/05 is a harder set to chase as the middle tier rc's sell for alot more than the 05/06 ones do. You have the likes of JR Smith, Josh Smith, Dorell Wright, Shaun Livingston, Jameer Nelson and the list goes on.
Scott,
yes i agree... 04-05 scarcity is very high.. because IMO, they have resurfaced several times already and locked in collections compared to 05-06 (still selling well before reaching final collectors)... but on a fiscal terms, 05-06 has a little bit more value... and continue to rise....
Total of the likes of JR Smith, Josh Smith, Dorell Wright, Shaun Livingston, Jameer Nelson listed $1675 BV, but D-Will alone is currently valued $1600 and rising.. we all know the fact JR Smith and Dorell Wright's prices have increased last a couple of months too...
Gerald Green is listed 550$BV before he won slam dunk champ Luel Deng's RC is worth only $600, I'd like to think Luel Deng's this season averages are far more higher than Gerald Green..
Yes.. 04-05 is very hard to chase the set, but 03-04 is hardest to chase as nobody's selling unless they need money at the moment... it's just a matter of time and perception of value of collectors'.
I think the 04/05 set has a far better roster of rookie cards than 05/06. I know from personal expierence that 04/05 is a harder set to chase as the middle tier rc's sell for alot more than the 05/06 ones do. But they have had one more year to perform.
Bynum, Monta, Green and to a lesser extent, Lee, Granger and CV are the big 05/06 names.
The first three sell for up to 400-500 for good patches.
Lee, Granger, CV, Blatche sell 150-200.
They sell on par with 04/05 I think.
JR, JSmoove and Dorell go for similar numbers to the first 3. I got a Jameer 4clr today for 150, so it is comparable between the two years.
Also, the 05/06 Exquisite boxes were more expensive than 04/05 by about $200us (from UD), so this also has an affect on the prices.
As for the original challenge, CP3 was purchased for between 2800 and 3000us. Marv was purchased for 650-725us. Deron would have been around 600us *before the big boom *. There are some hefty prices in there.
I think your dreamin if you think Bynum, Monta, Green sell for between 400-500US most are selling for around $250 to $300 max with nice patches, only ones selling over that are graded one. And on the secondary market 04/05 boxes are selling higher than 05/06.
