Who is the best player in the NRL today?

I also think JT isnt as good as he use to be, while i say this he is still a world class player but just slowing down similar to how Locky did

daniel holdsworth
josh mccrone
I think this post has nailed the best players already.

Hayne, C Smith, JT, Inglis, Farah, SBW.

I'd add Sam Burgess love him or hate him I think he genuinely is putting in every week. I'd have him in my team.

How about the worst players!!!
Think we'll get a longer & more varied list!!

I am a huge Eels fan but I cant Hayne is the best, he is by far the best in Parra. He has improved his biggest weakness which was his defense and positional play and with consistency he may be the best.
JT is good but his defensive flaws are coming through (and he will never win a premiership as a player or leader).
GI & SBW are missing the kicking and leadership skill but they are huge in attack and defense.

Cam smith is probably the most complete league player (lacking the attacking sharpness) but Billy Slater will still be the Australian fullback over Hayne and he has all the skills like Hayne but his edge is that he has been the most consistent (I still hate Queenslanders).

those who said inglis. look at the dally m top 10 standings for the last 5 years. he isnt even in the top 10 in one of them. look hes obviously a freak and such a good player but it confirms my point earlier about consistency, he doesn't provide it week in and week out.

Spot on, Burgess & S.B.W are the best players going around atm. It's a pitty they wont be in league next year .

Corey Parker is a gun and deserves more credit than he receives. A shame he won't be there for Origin II.

For their club: Farah

In the NRL: Cam Smith

Not in the Spine: Surgess

Winger: B Moz

Kicker: Soward

Head butter: Myles

Most love to hate: Hodges

Whinger: Tate

Worst: Ben Roberts

Most Entertaining: The Beast

Thats a pretty good list not sure if ben roberts is the worst , you obviously dont get to see much of lewis brown play

How can "for their club" and "in the NRL" be different people. If they are the best in the NRL then that would automatically make them the best for their club.

I was suggesting that Tigers without Farah are a loosing club in line with what Girds was saying about what happens if you take Hayne out of the Eels.

I suppose it should say Most important for their Club.

Overall Cam Smith. Captain of Melbourne, QLD & Australia, plays through injury and MR consistent every week.

Based on this years form and freakish ability Hayne is right up there though with JT also hard to go past
