Here's the story;
I won 3 boxes from a US seller on Ebay on 23 October and they are yet to arrive. I contacted the seller (188 Feedback, 100% positive) on 1 December and he said that it can take up to 42 business days to arrive. He also added that if they don't arrive, he'll gladly refund the money. I'm going to contact the seller again today.
It's getting close to the 60 day cut off to make a claim through Paypal, so I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice or what they would do in this situation.
From Ebay;
"Buyers can open an Item Not Received or Significantly Not as Described dispute between 10 and 60 days after the transaction date (the date when the buyer commits to buying the item and the seller commits to selling it). When opening a dispute, the buyer indicates whether the item was not received or whether it was received but significantly not as described."
But Paypal only gives 45 days to make a claim. #-o
I guess that answers my question. I'll just have to wait. The seller has left me positive feedback and he has 100% Positive, so I'm hoping it's just very slow.
Good luck with it mate, if he has 100% and has been communicating I'd say there on the way. Maybe put up his name here and someone who has dealt with him before could put your mind at ease.
Even if he charged $20.50 he should have told you that they were sent via surface mail which is usually 6-8 weeks
Seeing he's already left you feedback, once they arrive I'd complain that they were not sent airmail and that you weren't told and try to get US$10 refund or so...I've done it in the past and succeeded.
Thanks for the advice everyone. He's replying to my emails, offering a full refund and seems pretty genuine, so I'll wait this one out. By reading a few of the stories on these boards, it doesn't seem that unusual. Besides 42 business days isn't till 20 December, so if arrives after that I might give your idea a go reign40
BTW there are two boxes from the early 90's, so they're not small.
