Qasar, I actually bought the guitar from pro-audio here in Canberra back in september of 2010! paid 5g for it (part of my inheritance from grandparents passing). The guys at pro-audio are getting really frustrated (they've already pulled gibson stock of the racks for three months earlier this year - might be happening again soon). Because it is a twin neck and therefore custom guitar it has to be made at Gibson's Memphis factory.... so who knows what the hell is going on. But honestly, as Gibson fan (it's the only brand that feels right for me) and a huge led zeppelin fan, the twin neck is a prize jewel.

Awesome Bevan,

I was once a lifesaver and was accused plenty of times of being a Budgie smuggler. LOL.

Everyone knows that I am an autograph collector. I have the only known item signed by every single Australian Ironman Champion since the Ironman event began in 1966. I mainly do NRL and Motorsport.

I spent most of my life hanging around Softball and Baseball fields. Made the U19 Australian Softball team in 1989 but have since retired due to arm injuries suffered whilst playing baseball and pitching.

I was a Surf Lifesaver at Surfers Paradise Beach. I did just over 1000 hours which is a big milestone for dedicated lifesavers.

I collect Craig Lowndes models 1:43 and 1:64 and a few aother Lowndes knick knacks. I also do a little bit of indigenous artwork. Mainly for my wife that tell little stories of us. I also collect Bon Jovi, Pink and Matchbox 20 albums and CDs. Bon Jovi is really my first love. I almost have the full single collection since about 1984 and have all their albums including most of the Limited Edition releases.

I have now started breeding Guppies. We started with about 10 fish and have been at it now for about 4 months. We now have around 220. Another 60 or so were born just 2 days ago and still have a very heavilly pregnant female in the nursery tank. In around 3 weeks I will have about 100 ready for sale and hopefully we will be able to exchange them for some Seahorses which we are in the 2nd week of preparing our tank for.

Just thought I would come back to this thread to update on one of my hobbies. Whilst I enjoy fishing, I got back into fly fishing (salt water) and I have to say that fly tying is a fantastic hobby to go with my chosen pass time. Here is an example of fly's tied.

Other than actually playing a bit of basketball, none. I used to play PC games a lot but between family and study that's virtually disappeared entirely..pun intended

Great thread, interesting to see what everyone does with their spare time away from this hobby.

I used to collect Coins and Banknotes when I was younger. Mainly Australian and US. Bought and sold silver bullion bars.

Had part shares in a few greyhounds a few years back, one of our dogs qualified for the Golden Easter Egg heats at Wentworth Park. Sadly alot of dodgy ppl in the industry and lost my passion for them.

These days I'm heavily involved with basketball, play socially twice a week. Avid Adelaide 36ers fan/season ticket holder and collect alot of their memorabilia. Would love to part own the Sixers one day.

Love watches and kicks, travelling and long walks on the beach at night lol :)

Your right Brett, great thread, it is cool to see what the OCT community also has interests in. I have a bit of signed memorabilia, from 4 different sports (NBL, AFL, cricket & swimming) which is all on display in the man den, but I guess in terms of actual collecting (other than cardboard) I have a SLAM basketball magazine collection that is almost 100% complete, with only 5 Issues missing out of 160, but considering most of the ones the I am missing are from the very early days, I would doubt that this little collection will ever see 100% completion.

I dabble with Astrophotography

I shoot with film (using a Pentax Spotmatic SPII), but I'll have to relent and get a DSLR soon. High speed consumer film is getting harder and harder to find.

Very nice. I love the second one

There are some people selling SLAM on here, with one member having issues #1-100 and wanting to sell.
Hope this helps mate!
