Hey guys

How sweet was UFC 105!

Saw some great matches, and some sweet knockouts =D> =D>=D>

Loving Dan Hardy gets a title shot against George st Pierre, I reckon he will go the distance with him for sure.

Michael Bisping beating Denis Kang with barrages of elbows and punches to reclaim a little respect back after getting completely smoked by Hendo.
Credit to the man in front of a home crowd, hope he gets back on top real soon.

And the debut of Alexander Gustafsson who Ko'd Jared Hammen in 40 seconds.
Very impressive for a first fight. :kick::kick:

I enjoyed seeing how well the UK fighters from Season 9 of TUF fought.

Ross Pearson was good too watch, as was Andre Winner and hope there next opponents are a bit tougher and well known , just to see what they can really do to the top fighters in their weight classes.

Andre Winners knockout was beautiful too watch, even if Rolando Delgado was a **** fighter :lol:

It can only get better but , cause in a weeks time we get to see 4 sweet fights at UFC 106 :) :) :)

Tito vs Griffin
Rumble Johnson vs Koshchek ( This fight will be that good!!!)
George Sotiropoulos vs Jason Dent
Luiz Cane vs Nogueira

Awesome fights to look foward too!

Also on another note,

Since Rampage quit UFC :(

Rashads new opponent will be Thiago Alves on UFC 107 i am pretty certain.

What did everyone else think of the fights on UFC 105
and
what are everyones predictions for this weeks fights and how will the fighter win? ( e.g KO, Submission, Points, Stoppage etc?)

i didnt watch but have just been watching the odd videos and youtube and stuff but yeh looks pretty good.

i liked how the commentators stated that bisping originally wanted to fight wanderlei silva (wanted to fight the toughest opponent he could find).... , but he just had reconstructive surgery. so kang stepped in.

bisping vs w.silva = now thats a fight i would love to see !!!!

ufc 106 will be great to, love seeing all these new upcoming talents, im excited for the aussie george citrustree vs jason dent :D ( will be a great stepping stone for either fighter in their career)

Event wasnt too bad.

Hardy did well against Swick, but i fail to see anyway he can compete with GSP.

Im not a fan of Bisping, but ill give him credit for his display against Kang. Did really well on the ground, Kang seemed to tire after the 1st round.

And as for Bisping wanting to fight Silva, he wouldnt stand a chance.

And i still have no idea how Couture got the W over Vera. There is no way Randy won 2 rounds. Round 1 i gave to Couture, and Rounds 2 and 3 to Vera. Another disgraceful judging performance.

hmmmmm, well for starters GSp can throw as many kicks and punches towards Hardys head as he wants, fact of the matter is Hardy aint ever been KO'd before and i don't think GSP will be the first one to do it.
Sorry, really not a fan of GSP.
The only way St Pierre will beat Hardy is by submitting him.
And if i was Hardy , I'd be back in camp starting my take down practice, submissions and defense right away!

And as for Wanderlei fighting Bisping, i think that'd be a ripper of a fight.
Records count for nothing these days, and i feel with a bit more training , Bisping could totally Dominate ol Wandy.
What makes ya think he wouldnt stand a chance Turbo????

Its time we saw some new title holders, start with
Carwin Beating Lesnar ( Pray to god he does).
Diego Sanchez should account for BJ Penn in there title fight.
And i really seriously hope GSp gets knocked the F*%k out by Hardy :worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy:

guess we will just have to wait and see :D:D:razz::razz::razz:

BJ PENN WILL NOT LOST TO SANCHEZ LOL. I WILL MAKE SURE OF IT AND HE DEFiNETLY WONT BE USING AND GREASE ("GSP") TO MAKE SURE OF IT

hahahaha

yeah i actually forgot about that "alleged greasing"

Sanchez vs Penn will be a ripper fight

But i think your hero is goin down GiRDS

Are you serious Payney?

BJ will run riot on Diego. What does Diego have that can beat BJ? BJ has better stand up, better wrestling and better submissions. Even his gas tank is comparable now, he hasnt looked tired at all at LW.

Diego doesnt have any weapons to threaten BJ in any area. He will get slaughtered.

As for GSP vs Hardy, Hardy may be tough, But GSP's wrestling is other worldly. Hes just gonna repeatedly take him down and beat on him, Probably will end up with a stoppage or submission im guessing. Hardy has never gone 5 rounds too, will be interesting to see how he reacts to that.

My 106 Predictions:

Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin - I really dont know who to pick in this fight. Tito hasnt fought in a longgg time but is completely healthy following his back surgery. Forrest has the better standup but i dont think its good enough to completely dominate Tito. TIto is the better wrestler and if he can get takedowns can do some damage and control Forrest. Im gonna take Tito here for old times sake, I really think he can get back to being a top 10 LHW again.

Josh Koscheck vs. Anthony Johnson - Koscheck needs to realise hes not a boxer, His standup is powerful but very basic and if he tries to trade with the power of Johnson he will go out. Kos needs the takedowns to get the win. I see Johnson winning this fight, I think he can stuff atleast some of the takedowns, with his strength and size and I see him KO'ing Kos in the 2nd.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Luis Arthur Cane - Will be really interesting to see how Rogerio goes, He hasnt fought good competition in quite a while and Cane is a legit top 10 LHW. Rogerio actually made the Brazillian olympic team in boxing, so like his brother, has really really solid boxing. Cane has the more powerful and dynamic standup however, so it will be interesting to see how they clash on the feet. I have a feeling it will stay standing until someone gets hurt. Even though Nog has a adavantage on the ground. I think we will see a very exciting and close decision for Cane.

Dustin Hazelett vs. Karo Parisyan - I love watching Hazelett fight, Neither have a hell of alot of standup but Hazeletts jiu jitsu will be too good for Karo, Even hes on his back i see him getting Karo in a submission.

Amir Sadollah vs. Phil Baroni - Baroni is a joke, If he doesnt knock you out in the 1st minute hes done and dusted. Sadollah by 1st round armbar.

Marcus Davis vs. Ben Saunders - Davis is a good technical boxer, But Saunders will have reach and size in this fight and is the better ground fighter. I think it will go 2 possible ways, They both stand up and Davis gets the better of Saunders or Saunders takes Davis down and maybe even submits him. I'm gonna go with Saunders by decision.

Paulo Thiago vs. Jacob Volkmann - Thiago has had some big fights early in his UFC career, I dont know much about Volkmann so i gotta go with Thiago, 1st round TKO.

Kendall Grove vs. Jake Rosholt - Rosholt is a legit wrestler and has been showing some good hands lately but still gets hit alot. I think hes gonna test his hands again though. But once he gets hit he'll go back to his base and get takedowns for a decision win.

Brock Larson vs. Brian Foster - A pretty mehh fight. I see Larson getting the takedowns and riding out a decision.

Caol Uno vs. Fabricio Camoes - For those who dont know Camoes, He is a reallly good prospect and i wouldnt be surprised if he won. Uno is a veteran though and fighting in the UFC for the 1st time might affect Camoes, And i think Uno can avoid any submissions from Camoes, I got Uno by decision.

George Sotiropoulos vs. Jason Dent - Gotta go with George here, He is a better ground fighter than Dent and as long as he can get it there he should get a sub early.

Correct and correct. Couldnt have said it better myself =D>

hahahaha
Agree with each other as much as you want.

All i can say is both the fights certainly wont be as one sided as you all are saying.
Anything can happen on the night.

Like i said, we will just have to wait and see.

Im a big fan of mike swick, i was devo to see him loose. Credit to hardy but I do not agree with hardy getting a title shot, i think he should go in against a koscheck or alves or fitch before a title shot.

The ufc obviously want to further there fan base in england. I mean he is a good fighter, but a title shot....dunno about that. GSP will totally dominate hardy. The only way Hardy will win is a lucky punch.

I think 'the nightmare' will give BJ a run for his money. I can actually see Diego winning the title, just a funny feeling ive got.

as if dude,

hardys had just as many if not more fights then any of those you mentioned, hes also got a solid fan base.

how many fights would he have to have to get a title shot ??

30-40.....yea right hed be like randy couture age by then.

he smoked mike swick and definately deserves a title shot, its definately hardys turn for a shot.

Girds

You Don't know enough about style, technique or fighters history in the UFC to make a judgement on that i feel.
You jump on the "Beltholders bandwagon" saying they are all your favourites ( coincidentally , each one has a title under there arm)

First it was GSP then it was Brock, now its BJ. (probably more but i stopped reading ur posts after u couldnt make ur mind up!)

Hardy deserves everything he has earnt.

And this business about him having to fight Koschek and Fitch be4 a title shot etc etc , WHY?????
Those dudes are crap, and he has more then proved himself in his previous 3 fights
In saying that , he has months and months and months to train.
Pretty sure if your training for a title shot, either person has a fair shot.

And English fan base has absolutely Nothing to do with it, its a big enough following over there as it is.

If anything it is Australia that needs a more solid fan base, more training facilitys for fighting and practicing MMA and more events to be held over here!
