NEWSFLASH - April 4, 2008;
Fleer bankrupt.....again! News just in that the parent company of Fleer's second coming, Upper Deck has gone bankrupt. It is believed that all went astray after a group of Australians believed to be from an online group called "Ozcards" staged a massive rally last month calling for all customers of the company to boycott until Upper Deck decided to improve the way they handle their customer service. According to a local source, Upper Deck denied all accusations and stood their ground, continuing to ignore customer emails and also continuing to send out crappy replacement cards after their Redemption program went balls up. Hence the sack is now empty for Upper Deck as they will be officially shutting their doors in 5 days.
Many are calling the rogue group heroes for the liberation of the sportscard hobby across the globe. Their is now news of large liberation parties to be held in all the major countries that Upper Deck exported to that are said to involve major 'burning ceremonies' of previously released Upper Deck products. More news as it comes to hand.
Woo-hoo, we all get rich from the movie rights!
