NEWS UPDATE - April 24, 2008;
Assets from the Upper Deck Bankruptcy have now been successfully auctioned. Some winning applicants have decided to pay for their auction lots in half US dollars and half Disney dollars. The cunning winners say it's according to their disgust from the recent poor distribution of cards in boxes in the later of Upper Deck's Product releases, many of which held no complete base sets and contained up to 50% of duplicate product.
Seems Upper Deck have screwed it's customers long enough and now it's time for the bankrupt company to bend over and take the punishments the public dish out.
Also among the winners on the day was that same pioneering group from "Ozcards", who won several auction lots. The group took hold of their winnings and requested that the proprietor contact them by email for receipt of payment for the lots. To this day no payment has been received for the lots, however, they have recieved some nice 'Kit Kat Cookie' wrappers for potential replacement for the actual payment. The value of the wrappers is, as of yet, unknown.
