I am a basketball card collector from Australia and would like to display my disgust at your Fleer 06-07 product! I have just opened a box, sealed with your logo by the way, and was disappointed to find only 35 packs and no buy-back whatsoever! As far as your description says each box contains a buy-back opportunity, which I’m afraid friend was not there. Incredibly unhappy with your treatment of customers as I have also had a redemption “in process†since December 2005. Please stop with the lies, and when you talk the talk, please start walking the walk.
Regards a very unhappy, long time customer of your product
Jason Valles
PS Code on Fleer box is NB073737145 and stop killing the environment with your stupid filler cards that noone reads or takes notice of anyway
I hope this means I get mojo of a nice variety and maybe some smi mojo I can send your way matey! UD need to pull up their damn shorts and get with the program.
i totally agree, i would be the same way.
personally i would of worded it a bit differently in the hope of getting a responce, this may not get a responce, i would of sent this as my second message to them.
good luck, hopefully they dont send you a battier gu .

Yeah don't think you will be getting a response on that one
I've personally boycotted UD products of late - if i'm looking to open any boxes I will only ever consider Topps, which seem to give fairly decent bang for your buck (and no shitty redemptions - apart from the XRC, but they are expected and they actually get redeemed!)
I couldn't have worded it better myself. You will get the usual responce of the buybacks being 1 per box on average and not guaranteed. I got a box 04/05 Trilogy when it came out and it stated 9 packs per box from memory and I only got 8 and I was missing 1 auto. I emailed them and they basically said bad luck.
The replacements for UD stuff seem to be like this: if its a high end card redeemed, then they go the extra effort to make up for it and send some nice replacements (examples: scottsophies mj/bron auto, carlos' kobe auto, my jerry west/gervin autos). if its a lower end card then you get shafted with some cheap gu and a average auto.
your kobe auto i reckon should get some nice replacements if it doesnt arrive soon.
Just a question, with everyone elses boxes, did anyone get close to completing the set from their single boxes?
The reason I ask is I am sorting to out the cards and I have recieved more doubles than cards to complete a set. I would be close to being 100 cards shot of the regular base set.

I got the whole set of base (1-200) in each of my boxes, as well as the inserts and rc's... that is very strange that you firstly got only 35 packs and no buyback, and then not getting the whole set of base.
UD is irresponsible... looks like JZA is right, they don't care average redemptions.. and never reply emails properly..
It happened to me before, 1 auto per box, but no show... in this case, i saw an incredible amount of doubles.. probably most.. i think packing people mistreated the box... someone from the groupbuy receive two buybacks or two GUs?
NEWSFLASH - April 4, 2008;
Fleer bankrupt.....again! News just in that the parent company of Fleer's second coming, Upper Deck has gone bankrupt. It is believed that all went astray after a group of Australians believed to be from an online group called "Ozcards" staged a massive rally last month calling for all customers of the company to boycott until Upper Deck decided to improve the way they handle their customer service. According to a local source, Upper Deck denied all accusations and stood their ground, continuing to ignore customer emails and also continuing to send out crappy replacement cards after their Redemption program went balls up. Hence the sack is now empty for Upper Deck as they will be officially shutting their doors in 5 days.
Many are calling the rogue group heroes for the liberation of the sportscard hobby across the globe. Their is now news of large liberation parties to be held in all the major countries that Upper Deck exported to that are said to involve major 'burning ceremonies' of previously released Upper Deck products. More news as it comes to hand.
