When do you think it's appropiate to send Paypal by "gift" or by "goods"
Me prefabably anything on or above $50, then will be sent as "goods" to cover myself, maybe if its a new member or someone i have not traded with might be lower, not sure yet..
Whats everyones take on this??
this will draw a lot of debate and individual comments...i have personally used this with respected members, but once again how do you define "respected" we all know this can backfire with some people and realistically it is a caculated risk, so i say, if you dont feel comfortable, get some added security like a contact number or other information to help you feel more at ease with a transaction or just dont send as gift and come to a compromise with fees etc...personally i would never do a o/seas transaction using gift...
I recently gifted someone I didn't know and it turned out ok. It depends on the individual and whether you are willing to gamble that they will do the right thing. I personally knew I was taking a risk, but I was comfortable with the amount I sending and was pleased that it went through.
It's a massive risk whenever you do it, however some people can definitely be trusted (ie me....).
There's a guy on ebay (was Drebinlive now Airdrebin or something) who I sent gift to for a card off-ebay and he delivered, so there is still SOME honesty and morality in the world. But it is a big risk...
im always by goods, but when i use paypal on this site, i work out the paypal fees and put that on top of what i pay.
but then ive never done any bigger deals.
