Very happy to get another card. Interesting choice though. Tyson Frizell was awarded the Anzac medal for best on ground for this game, yet Tariq Sims is player of the round

to be fair it is subjective voting from whoever the panel is at TLA. some players have had outstanding individual performances that won the match but lost out to other players

I think it has a lot to do with stats, like line breaks, tries, run meters because it looks much better on the card. While Frizell played a great game it doesn’t look that way on paper

Neither does Sims, 10 hit ups 23 tackles 3 mistackles, DeBelins stats smashed his yet again! Weird weird choice.

I'd probably say they go by try assists, tries, line breaks, line break assists, metres, tackles. In that order

They look at their shots and go that's a good one, yeah he played OK... Tariq Sims it is.

In fairness he did have a good game and absolutely destroyed any hope the Roosters had in attack as Cronk kept looking for him.
