IMO the Sapphire /20 mojo concept is what has made 2016 Elite and a matter of fact ESP since proclaiming the NRL card license in 2012/13. I know it has been quite steep for team set collectors not to mention other high end collectors however as FAIC having an additional even rarer mojo along with the inital ruby /40 variant has really given ESP some credibility to reach par with Select and other preESP NRL card series. However I believe it will only be the case should the blue mojo concept be a sheer one off only and not to return for 2017 Elite to prevent this year's from retracting from future high ends.

I do believe two variants of the mojo concepts are necessary however I just hope the /20 variant with be replaced by a /80 variant (perhaps to be known as the Pearl mojo hit-ratio of 1:120 or half-case search) for 2017 Elite thus the ruby /40 still to remain (1:240 or whole-case search.

its hard to gauge how successful these really were with how the cases were all stacked

still massively undervalued in my opinion, starting to see some teams dry up now so will know soon enough and of course a certain hoarder is just starting to collect....

i wouldnt want a higher numbered version but rather /10 or/15. would love if the lower set actually had background in the card rather than a colour, call it the game day parallel or some crap

I don't see any harm in the Mojo sets.

What I think should happen however is:

1: Redemption (to reduce damage in packs and combat pack weighing)

2: A lower end variant (Maybe 4 per case numbered to 100? Allows for people who only search specific numbers higher than 40 to go after them too)

Personally I don't mind them, they're not really an essential part of a collection I think personally as they're basically recoloured commons but they look nice and they're a good chase.

I also wouldn't mind seeing a different colour where 1 of each player in the set are randomly inserted into packs and it's up to someone to try and get all 9 of the 1/1 Mojo to complete their team.

I don't think too many people will be weighing up to 240 packs to find a different weight in a newsgency that will usually only have 1 or 2 boxes on display.

Do you take your scales with you card shopping??

I've seen Mick Ennis weighing packs at a news agents in Westfield Penrith. I think I actually posted a picture of him doing it somewhere on the forum.

Sorry for taking this thread off track

I like the mojos but think one sets enough with the golds as well, /40 is a good number as they are limited but affordable for most collectors

Remember when we had the traders releases with a common set, silver and black parallel and people were losing their minds on the amount of parallels. Now we have one more parallel set and people are all in love with the parallels. Seems a bit strange to me.

Guess that's the case because mojo paras seem to be holding value unlike low end ones and actually give ESP licensing some credibility lol
