Finally decided to watch The Sopranos, got halfway into season 3 and poof! HBO content pulled from Foxtel with the domestic launch of HBO Max which I had no idea about. Fuck signing up for yet another streaming service, back to the high seas I sail.
Really going to hurt Foxtel/Binge too. Showcase is just back-to-back episodes of NCIS and CSI now.
Just noticing a few similar things lately. I watched a great 6 part surfing doco on Binge called the 100 foot wave. I wanted to have another look at it but it's now on the MAX channel and they want $12 per month. It's not the only show/series to have transferred over.
It's bs what they are doing.
Thanks to all the private data that companies mine (steal) they have worked out what type of person watches such and such plus this, that, and the other and presto. Those programs are then split onto different subscriptions and on it goes. They are creating a lot of bad will.
