The OFFICIAL Mavs/Spurs series thread!!!

Must have overlooked your post Jim, lol. I'm thinking a minor upset with a Mavs V Heat Final.
I'm not sure about that. Speaking from a heats point of view and being a heat fan, I would hope they get into the final, but from my perspective, I believe last years team was a better team. It seems that heat has little communication between them because of the new players in the team but I just don't think they are capable. I'm even having doubts about the heat vs nets. If the big three from nets produce a good effort during the series, the heats are in trouble. Anyway, back to Mavs vs Spurs.

Really hard to say which team would win cause both team are very good. I would probably say spurs in 7. So hard to decided.

wow, shoes has a realistic opinion about a team he barracks for, now try it with the pies mate ;)

I thought under the new playoff system that after the 1st round, teams got re-seeded to avoid the top 2 sides playing in Semis and not conference finals.

Oh well, I guess Spurs in 6 (after winning Game 1 against a rustly looking Mavs outfit).

looks like the spurs sneak away a victory at home...Mavs should be kicking themselves, it was probably their only chance

the nba seeding system sucks.. really really does.. i mean the nuggets 3rd seed? did they deserve it?

anyways.. yeah prob the only chance to steal one in san antonio..

i cant figure why stackhouse passed up an open 2, to run to the 3 point line to throw up a contested 3 which turned out to be an airball.. doesnt make sense..

for now.. until the spurs make some adjustments ;)

Very true again White-Choc, but i do believe Mavs will want to make adjustments as well. I think Dirk should've taken the shot, taken his man 1on1 and got a shot off, bit hard while being 4-teamed but oh well, it is Dirk! :p

dirk was so close to taking that last shot, bowen forced him to pass it.. then stackhouse pretty much past up an open shot for 2, to run to the 3 point line and take a contested 3.. what was he thinking? over time would have worn out the spurs.. mental block right there.. all time.. and could hurt them..

edit: will hurt them

damp cant guard duncan, timmy will have a field day.
Damp can't even guard Bradley let alone Horry. He's not even going to be a factor. Manu and Parker will get him in foul trouble before he even has a match up to worry about.

hmmm, big win here maybe for the Mavs, up by 20 at the half. Josh Howard having a big one, 18pts 9rb at the half.
