The Official LA LAKERS thread!!

Ah what the hell, Thanks Alf. Good on you man.

WE'RE BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!! :woot:

Back to back Western Conference Champs! =D>

Now, is it too early to start considering who we might face in the finals? :-k

As Bill Goldberg would want to know WHO"S NEXT???!!!!

Seriously awesome game today by the Lake Show..Pau, The RZA, Kobe, Luke and Lamar!!....All round team performance.....I love it how the media in the USA kept counting the Lakers out saying they are going back to LA for GM7, and thought out the whole series they were questioned about how soft they are blah blah blah, Denver showed why they were the Number 2 team in the West today they had no heart the Birdman must have had the Bird Flu and i said agter GM2 that Melo couldnt back up a whole series and low and behold he couldnt...Not saying that he isnt a big time performer just needs a few more seasons under his belt!!!
And Chauncey only had 7FG attempts thats not gonna get your team a W, JR started well and he was pretty much the only Nugget that showed some ticker every one else stayed at home.....

Trevor had an awesome 1ST QTR, Kobe stared slow by his standards but fired when needed, Pau also had a great 3RD!!!!Luke chipped in well off the bench!!!!

This thread is in bad need of a BUMP! :woot:

There's more activity in team threads who's players are already on Vacation!

Time to get vocal, it's the most important time of the season.

A little over 12 hours to go, can we rely on them to bring the pain tomorrow and play the game they can and should when it matters? 12 months since that miserable loss last season, I hope they've learnt enough.

I'm pretty confident for now, confident they defend home tomorrow.

I'll be surprised to see a repeat of the Rockets series. Lakers should take game one at home, stress free. The big men will have to come to play!

Hopefully the reason it's stress free is because they handle their business, worst case scenario is Orlando don't show up, we walk all over them and get too cocky. Actually worst case is we dop game 1, but you get my point. I want the team that handled Denver in Game 6! Even though Denver didn't play their best game, it woudn't have made a difference the way they approached that game and kept their foot on the gas.

Bynum hasn't been managing his fouls too well. Orlando, or should I say Dwight will be taking it at him early and looking to exploit that. We'll be seeing up to 3 Lakers on Dwight at least in Game 1. Hopefully Drew can prove me wrong and hang in there.

The big one is about to start! Jameer is active, big mistake by the Magic imo, he'll be under done and they have been playing great without him so far! May be their undoing!

Huge game by Kobe, no surprises really that the Lakers got up. Pity Bynum got into early foul trouble, he would've had a big one also!

wow awesome superman sig there Oz... looks fab!!!!

Thanks mate. :)

Just got to catch the game now. Very Happy! =D>

Kobe with 40/8/8 - if that's what get's us game 1 then thank you very much! Odom and Gasol were there when needed too which was great, a solid contribution from just about everyone.

Wonder woman exposed!

I doubt Dwight will have another like that back to back, but I'm happy with the hustle and help D that kept him out of his zone. I still say this ain't his year, even the real Superman failed the first time.

Game 2 Live on monday which just happens to be a public holiday!

Can't wait...

I've only just noticed the 2 - 3 - 2 format.

What the hell are teams fighting for home court for. If I were a Cavs fan and the Cavs made it I'd have even more cause to be pissed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we dropped game 6 in Boston last season...

Drop 1 of the first 2 games and the scales are way outta whack.

Way to milk the Finals for all it's worth. :fist:

Its because of the distance they have to travel... Finals have been like that as far as I know.

Yeah I've been told about the travel factor and understand that but still, if they're going to put 3 days between games 1 and 2 and 3 days between 4 and 5 surely it could be scheduled better.

It has been the same, maybe I've been thinking about the conference format too much. I jumped the gun with a memory lapse, it was the same last season... I still disagree though.

This system doesn't reward teams.
