The Official Geelong Cats Treble thread!

I may have to eat these words later... but, I really do think there is something about this Geelong side that makes them a huge chance for the flag this year. Just the attitude they have after the game, no huge excitement for their 9th straight win.... they appear focused.... this is good news for Cats fans.

They are on top of the table and have won 9 in a row.....that could be it ;)

Seriously though, I agree they look the goods for sure :)

Noone is laughing at my ablett brownlow prediction now!

Nobody ever laughed at that; just the Nathan Ablett Coleman talk...

The Cats seem to be playing more consistent football this year, as well as being completely focused that winning games isnt important; getting a top 2 spot and making noise in the Finals is... Steve Johnson returning from the club imposed suspension as a commited player willing to lead all day, tackle all day and do the team things, instead of only wanting to bob up every 2nd or 3rd quarter and kick a goal has made a difference; Geelong hasnt lost a game since he returned.

This thread would make my bro smile for sure........biggest cats fan I know.......bar none. I miss not seeing footy so bad. Peeps here laugh when I talk about "footy", and not football. I'm a big Saints fan.....but if they suck, I'd love to see the caters get up and win a flag. My bro would be blind for a month.....seriously....lol

Go PIES. It promises to be a Great match on Saturday. Who does everyone think will win, and why? If Geelong wins they deserve to be Premiership Favourites. With 85,000 fans at the MCG, it's going to be a finals-like atmosphere. It's worth noteing that the Cats have only played at the MCG once this year, and Collingwood has played 8 matches at the MCG. It will be interesting to see how the Cats play away from the comforts of 'Skilled Stadium' and 'Telstra Dome'. Geelong is currently showing $1.50 for the win and Collingwood is showing $2.50, so there could be a bit of value about the Pies.

Comforts of skilled stadium?. we play terribly down there. Weve also won twice in adelaide and we will thump you bastards today hahaha

Good win by the Cats today. But the Pies werent disgraced. Selwood is gonna be a star. Id like to see these 2 teams meet somewhere in the finals would be very interesting with our team a little stronger come finals time :)

Oh yeh Chapmans hanger was a beauty!!

All credit to the Cats. They were the better team on the day. Matty Scarlett was awesome in the first half, and Lingy was great in shutting down Swan. Selwood's got the 'Rising Star' in the bag. It's hard to find any real weaknesses in this Geelong team. The only thing that may slow the Cats down is some injuries to key players. The good news for the Pies is that we will improve, and we should 'hopefully' get Nathan Buckley, Jimmy Clement, and Rhyce Shaw back in a couple of weeks. With a great draw ahead, the Pies are still a great chance to finish second on the ladder.

GAME DAY!
Im getting a bottle on the way home and stumping myself in front of the tv and locking the missus in her room for the nite!

wow, that was a near flawless game from the cats last night. they just played perfect footy. bulldogs didn't play that badly but geelong were on fire in the first half, it was over by quarter time.
