COMC is already big, of course there is going to be incidents from time to time. There is a lot of variables with International postage! The time it took them to send, I agree with you is a little long, but o worse then a lot of ebay sellers.
They, like ebay, will not go out of business because of a few unhappy people now and then, 90% of their transactions they probably never ever have trouble with!!
The first time I used them shipping was slow, 6 weeks or so at least, longer I think. But the 2 orders Ive had since them have been about the same as any other sender from around the world.
Unfortunately in a hobby that relies on buying stuff internationally there is a lot of variables and time involved. As long as the cards arrive to you safely all is well... But also like you, I was starting to worry after 6 or 7 weeks....... Surely if they don;t arrive in "x" amount of weeks they have to take some responsibility for the missing package, but then again ebay don't make anyone accountable for lost mail, the buyer just simply misses out!!
This is a weak attempt at pushing away all responsibility. I quote "Once the package leaves our warehouse it is basically out of our control". So as a buyer, I cannot hold COMC responsible and I must count on my luck that the package will arrive safely?
I guess this will be my last transaction with them. It has been almost 2 months since I requested for them to ship out the cards and the cards are still not with me. No doubt their prices are reasonable but the fact that someone mentioned their customer service is tiptop and the fact that they took more than a week to get my cards out is a no-go for me.
I've given ample time for International Shipping, the only thing I'm upset about is their Customer Service. The first time I tried seeking advice, I was given a template reply that some customers in Canada (geographically just beside US in case you do not get the reference) receive their package in 6 weeks, international orders may take longer than that. Don't believe me? Try asking them a month after you have asked for cards to be shipped, that will be their standard reply. So given that the Canadian buyers typically takes 6 weeks to receive their stuff, it's beyond reasonable that I have to wait longer than 6 weeks?
Well, if you are looking at PC point of view then yes, i agree with your point that so long as the cards arrived safely, nothing else matters. But that's not in my case.
Well then, that my friend, you're wrong about EBay. Both buyer and seller are responsible in any transaction in EBay: The seller must send with tracking to ensure PayPal protection and the buyer is fully protected if he has paid under PayPal and can raise a claim anytime within 45 days if the package did not arrive. Buyer will be compensated. But for COMC? What rights do I have? How can they prove that their stuff has been sent? Talk is cheap.
I have made another shipment request after that failed delivery. hoping that COMC will do good this time. The ebay and COMC references from me were purely because they both are big parts of our hobby...
Obviously you are upset, which is understandable, that your cards have taken to long to arrive, which you have a valid point on but it isn't exactly rare for some stuff to take longer the 6 - 8 weeks on occasions. It's just not worth the discussion/argument with you because you are set in your views/ways things should be...
Hello COMC users,
I thought I could purchase cards and leave them in my inventory or whatever it is called, and then purchase more the next day/week/month and keep adding them all together and then send them all at once?
Yesterday I purchased 30 charles barkley cards and I had to pay for the postage straight away and I believe they will be shipped straight away. How do I keep them in my inventory and make one large shipment, say when i have 100-200 cards in there?
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
Alex
Rather than start a new thread, Hopefully someone reads this that can help.....
I am sitting on heaps of cards here that i want to sell... I am scared of getting ripped off on feebay by scammers So am seriously considering sending in a heap of cards to COMC to sell.
Has anyone here sold on there before from OZ?? is it going to be worth it.
The way i look at it, if i sell on ebay i get listing fees, final value fees and paypal fees, I also have to go to the post office who knows how many times, i have to pack all the cards myself and buy top loaders and bubble mailers etc. And also take into account that chances are HIGH that i will get scammed on some sales losing out even more.
So all up taking that into account think it makes the 20% cash out fee on COMC look pretty good. considering all i need to do is bulk pack them and send them to one place.. They scan them and write up the details etc, and i just set my prices. And i am presuming i can feel safe i wont get ripped off.
any other thoughts or experiences with selling there?
