Possibly the slowest shipping company ever. I've made a request to send cards over to me on the 11th of March, took them 5 days to update status to ship on 16th of May and confirmed shipment on 20th of March and till today, 6th of May, I've received no cards from them despite paying $5.19 for the postage cost that includes $0.40 for each of the 6 toploaders.
I guess this will be the last time I'll be dealing with them. And it really makes me wonder how will top inventories like Swagcard feels should the company decides to fold and run away with his $1m BV worth of cards.
I'm really pissed off at COMC. Even EBay purchases I've made just 2 weeks back have arrived from the States (I'm based in Singapore).
This is their reply:
Hello Kelvin,
I apologize that you haven't received your package yet. Usually international packages do not take longer than 6 weeks to arrive. We make sure to ship the package out from us within our time frame which is one week for Standard orders. Once the package leaves our warehouse it is basically out of our control. The packages are sent using USPS First Class Mail. If a package takes longer in transit, it can usually mean that it is being held up at Customs. As far as other companies go, the combination of their products and shipping methods may have an impact on the arrival time. Even so, alot depends on Customs again
If you are concentrating alot on the card value, you can build up your online inventory by purchasing cards at good prices, then turn around and flip them on the site. Many users do this so they don't have to wait for the cards to ship to them each time. We understand that the asking price can change alot during a period, example Jeremy Lin. Then, at a later date you can request a shipment of your cards when they are not so volatile in prices. Please feel free to contact us again.
This is a weak attempt at pushing away all responsibility. I quote "Once the package leaves our warehouse it is basically out of our control". So as a buyer, I cannot hold COMC responsible and I must count on my luck that the package will arrive safely?
I guess this will be my last transaction with them. It has been almost 2 months since I requested for them to ship out the cards and the cards are still not with me. No doubt their prices are reasonable but the fact that someone mentioned their customer service is tiptop and the fact that they took more than a week to get my cards out is a no-go for me.
COMC will never make it big with this kind of service.
