The Official 2017 ESP/TLA NRL TRADERS thread. (Some new signing images added)

Dont think so @Sharky. Newcastle can make that record this year. Theres this table on wikipedia. old school stats:
Parramattas spoons: 1947, 1952, 1954, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1970, 1972, 2012, 2013 (6 years in a row)
University 1921, 1923, 1927, 1929, 1930, 1931, 1934, 1935, 1936, 1937 (3 years in a row)

Imagine supporting these teams during those eras.

in the modern era has any team gotten three consecutive spoons?
No Souths were close 2003 / 2004 / 2006 but interestingly out of the current 16 teams the Eels are winning the wooden spoon race.

Played quite a few games there last year and had a good record there, stats can be changed to reflect whatever you want them to look like.

I think we may of won 4/4, dogs twice, tigers once and souths once

Won 3 lost 1 last year
Having Mary as our coach wouldn't fill me with confidence either ;)

And Josh McCrone as the halfback to a team that's attacking record was second worse in the NRL last season

Touche......but my expectations are set realistically, we will come 8th.

Cheers
Ross

Im thinking we will come within the 8 this season with a log jam of other sides, will be the closest season ever

Too early to say. What happens to Cows if JT goes down? What happens to Storm if Smith goes down?

It will be tight but to win any combo you need your fair share of luck on and off the field.

Lets get it back on topic......who would you like to see signing for your team?

For me the ideal scenario would be:

Traders: Tyrone Peachey

Elite: Trent Merrin (LS) & Nathan Cleary (YG)
Traders: Corey Norman

Elite: Oh please be Bevan French (YG) and either Beau Scott or Manu Mau (LS)

Power play: Beau Scott or Manu Mau, whoever doesn't get the LS card

But would be happy with any combo of the 3 veteran players

History says that its going to be very difficult to go back to back with the last team to do it being the Broncos in 1992-93.

Losing Barba and Ennis will be a big step to overcome as well (but im sure Ben Barba will be back on a much reduced contract for the Sharks later in the season, gotta love the soft stance of Teflon Todd Greenberg. Todd better look after his old bulldog player)
True but we made history last year and going to do it again :) B2B
Benny back shortly and Ennis replacement should be signed very shortly too hah we will have full strength
