What do we feel these predictors will sell for at the beginning? For both top teams and the duds.

Anyone remember dynasty prices

No idea going to depend on what value is placed on the redemption sets. 20 of the gold sets so same as elite sapphire, if the gold redemption sets go at a similar price then around $40 average for the predictors would put you in the ball park but what is a regular set going to be worth. What they go for will set the high end.
Think there could well be big changes in the value of predictors as the season progresses and the chances of winning the comp diminish. Still once the GF has been played the team that finished 2nd has the same redemption value as the wood spoon winners.

Question: If say, 200 of the Premiership predictors for the winning team are redeemed individually, would the therefore unredeemable gold sets that remained be destroyed? Or can an already-redeemed individual predictor be grouped with the other 15 to get the gold set?

Its a good question, the 20 gold parallel premiers sets seem to be a last minute response to various complaints about the non winning predictors being valueless.

I reckon they are banking on the fact that a percentage of the predictors will never see the light of day and there will no doubt be an expiry to redeem them by.

Still should be a top tryscorer instead of this parallel set

Agreed. For a higher end card (1:6 boxes) there needed to be something for each team and then something more significant for the premiers set. I like that predictors are back but based on the known info so far it appears they have missed the mark. Time will tell I guess.

I would guess the 20 gold sets will all be redeemed, enough collectors and dealers that will want them that it is almost a certainty.
I don't know if enough details have been released, given the gold set require all 16 redemption cards there is nothing stopping people from sending in all 16 the day of release to ensure they are among the first 20 to try and claim a gold set regardless of who ends up premiers, You could thensit back and chase just the premiers predictors as the season progresses and favourites emerge.
Don't know if there will be any way to check on the number of gold still available but there wont be much point in spending months and $$ to put all 16 together if you don't know if they are still available.
Think its great predictors are back but I can see some potential problems and disappointed collectors with the way they have been introduced.

Hell of an effort to put together 16 predictors though. Two per case, that is an 8 case minimum bust, nearly 10k at dealers price for a set that may sell for $1500 at most

I am not so sure people will rush to collect all 16 predictor cards ....Even at the bare minimum $20 per card ( I am sure some will be much higher than that ) that`s $320 .... Do you really think the 9 card Premiership set and the 9 card Gold Parallel set will be worth $320 ????

Gold Parallel will be.
There is not 16 x 20 (320) like the sapphires just 20
what are/did the sapphire sell for?

I think $1500 will be well and truly overs for those cards ....If you are lucky to get $300 to $350 for a Sapphire set now why do you think they would hold that sort of value .....It would be fantastic for the collectors if they did but the cards at the moment are just not holding any value which is real disappointing for collectors ...

Yes but the Sapphire set is only 20 sets per team just like the premiership set ..Its a 9 card Gold sets for the winning side only just like the Sapphire set for 1 team .......There are only 20 SETS available but you have to collect all 16 Predictors to get the set of GOLD ......Maybe your right and I hope you are .....That $320 above could be closer to $500 plus depending on what people would pay for ( Storm , Cowboys , Raiders , Sharks , Broncos , Parramatta ) and others just to finish the set .....

I guess only time will tell .......

I was thinking around $600 for the gold so roughly $40 per predictor to put together all 16.
Was thinking $100-200 for the regular set obviously a unredeemed premiers predictor would be worth similar but that is only 1 out of the 16 clubs.
The value of the others once the GF has been played would be what ever the price difference between the 2 sets is divided by 15 but only to those chasing a gold set.

I think that if say, only 5 or 6 people bother to redeem the gold set, then it will be worth a bit, especially to collectors of those teams

Something not considered yet is the makeup of the premiers set. They will obviously be numbered but will they have a surprise like the Captains card being signed?

Also something else to think of would be if there are more than 2 predictors per case in the dealers 650 cases ??Have they put more in those cases than the predicted odds ?? That could also change the value of the Predictors to a point ....
