MAY CONTAIN SPOILER WARNINGS!

With the 2009 AFL Finals approaching fast, I thought it'd be a good idea to make a thread for it. You can talk about match-ups, how to shut down clubs who's through to each finals match etc etc.

Here's a preview for the finals;

P.S. SPOILER WARNINGS! SPOILER WARNINGS! SPOILER WARNINGS!

Yep it will be a exciting finals series for alot of clubs.
Pies, Saints, Cats all equal favourites, Dogs probley should be in there aswell.

I'm starting to warm heavily to the Doggies. Think I might be on them for Premiers this year! Everyone else in the top 4 looking a little shakey to me at the moment. We'll see following this weekend ey.

The bookies odds only reflect the number of supporters jumping on a bandwagon ;-) Doesn't mean the Cats, Saints and Pies are all equally as good as each other.

I'd love to see long time Doggies supporters rewarded with a cup and put a smile on some nanna's face as she sits there under her red, white and blue crochet blanket.

Yeh i realise that, Slapped 200 on the pies today :v:
Better not let me down.

I reckon Geelong too. Of course because I'm a Cats supporter but also we're back to full strength this week and we've all seen what Geelong at full strength is like. ;)

Power cant make the finals!
As ess and hawks play each other so one of the teams has to win! and even if they draw still no good!

So its out of HAWKS or ESS! For 8th spot

if Geelong don't win the Gf this year it will be a shame only 1 win from being so dominant for the last 5. Saying that though I still think they will find another gear, they certainly have ruck/Forward problems, Chapman is so essential to their line up.

Mathematically they still can, just highly doubtful.

Lol Mathematical yes. BUT they have to hope its either a draw or a win to the hawks and the have to FLOG Nrth Melb!

I agree with the comments above, the talk after last weeks round was all about the 3 big teams but have forgotten about Footscray. They had a bad one against West Coast a few weeks ago but they're currently in good form with Higgins, Giansiracusa returning last week. If my Hawks bomb out against Essendon I'll definately be flying the flag for the doggies.

The wife and I will be at the Sydney vs Brisbane game this weekend since she's a Fitzroy supporter and I'm hoping this will be a close & hard encounter. I'll be wearing my Hawthorn gear and cheering on the Lions:blink: or it will be a cold lonely night out with the dog Saturday night.

Bombers to beat Hawks...but Hawthorn wins the brawl and the AFL wins overall because of the record number of fines given and Essendon has the whole team suspended for the week after :D (Here's hoping anyway, cause with no Buddy this is the only interest left in the game for me).
