I would behappy to try design something for that, suggest a program for me to use... I would even give some one a good card to deisgn something better than that.... maybe something to do with basketball or use a design similar to one of those on basketball cards or anything to do with sport.... Im not trying to be rude here I just dont like it... I was waiting for prime minister photo to pop up or something

I think Graham mentioned in another thread that he was trying to make it a more generic header as the site has become more than just about NBA card trading??? I think he also said that this was only temporary??
Maybe Graham can confirm??
I think the whole point we are all missing, is that this site is called OzCardTrader, not OzNBACardTrader.
The new Aussie theme is to encourage more non-NBA card collectors (Cricket, Football, non sports cards) to join the site. Previously with Bogut, the first impression is that this is an Basketball card site and nothing else. At least now, it opens up our membership to other options while still providing the great information and members that we currently have!
If anyone wants to design a new banner, go right ahead. Just don't be offended when we tell you "it sucks" and don't use it.

and i will be the first to say that i dont really care what we have up there....
and i am not even going to attemp to design one....
but....
if anyone is thinking of designing one, maybe it should be about sports??
i wouldnt mind seeing something like Kobe & Amare wearing their new jersey numbers.
As far as keeping it fresh on a regular basis, there's always new throwbacks and alternate jerseys being shown off throughout the season. it would be nice to see different players' wearing these in the header

If we're trying to make it OzCardz, then why not include some of Australia's biggest Sports Cards? I'm sure some have pics of a great Bogey, a Great Ponting, a great.... whatever...
I dunno, but you're right, it doesnt make THAT much different who's up there, but for a first time visit from a new Member, etc, it needs to be attractive.

This isnt Australian Idol - most votes don't win.
Secondly - yes fairly easy to change. The person who comes up with the banner can also supply themed buttons for throughout the site. The banner must be in html format with the banner at 95% of the page width (this means it must work in ALL browsers at 95% - no fixed width banners thanks)
But once again - and I stress this - no guarantees that any submissions will be used. If it's a clean package that doesn't make the eyes bleed then of course due consideration will be given
Yep...i would agree with that....I also know that there are a few guys on this site that a very capable of making awesome banners/signature.
Maybe if we can get a few of the better cards posted they can work some magic and do something up for us??
