What's the weirdest way you've seen someone pack a card?

There's one particular seller who continually uses pieces of drywall to sticky tape cards to. I saw him do it once, and figured "Yeah that's odd", and its the third time now, I've got half a wall from him. Given he's sending as regular mail only a matter of time before he gets pulled up you;d think

I'd prefer just the card in the envelope. Hold the gyprock.

If they mishandle that parcel and the drywall breaks apart and spills. Aus post will have to shut down their facility and call the cops.

Despite the sellers best efforts, this was not in fact handled with care.

Fortunately it was a blank multi disc blu ray case, which came through unscathed.

This doesn't seem ideal:

Sellers will now just mark the items as sent earlier now, just to tick the box off and prevent the cancellation. Buyers will still request cancellations even after this

Yeah, what could possibly go wrong here. Can't think of a worse idea than sending a card to a buyer who's made it clear they don't intend to go through with their purchase.

Exactly.

You are going to have people wait for it to be sent, and then cry to ebay for a cancellation and the seller will lose the money and the card.

"OH, i forgot to cancel. You were too quick posting the item"

Figured they do that now anyway though. Ordered a phone case two weeks ago, on a Tuesday night. Within 20 minutes I had confirmation and it was marked as sent untracked.

Paid express and it took a week to arrive. Checked the tracking on the package and it didn't hit the post until Thursday night.

I only mark it sent the minute its popped into the mailbox.

EBay marks it as sent the instant the postage label is paid for too. Or if you pay for tracking with auspost and print the label and add it to the item on eBay page.

Yeah for tracked items, i scan them immediately and post the next day.
